My last grow I did a Nirvana bubblicious. It was a regular photo period. I had around 300 watts of CFL on it alone, and it got big! Nice and big. My only regret was that the buds werent as dense or hard as I thought. And those Monster cfl's I used, instead of a million little cfl's, made my heat a bit high. The smoke quality was awesome and I smoked, right down to the bottom of my second quart jar.

So now I ditched the cfl's for two Kessil 350 Magentas. This time I vegged a dutch passion auto blueberry on cfl for 30 days. Then put my Kessils on for flowering. I expected less weed, and less potency, as it was ruderails or whatever. WRONG. This plant got bigger than my first grow. And the buds got dense and way more chystally! The smoke is like a fruity dream, no less potency either. I am high as Fuck. I hate that we moved, and I have a lanlord and a one year lease. I wont grow unless its my place. But I cant wait to buy my home in a year. Thinking of even moving to a legal state.

So the LED lights that you changed to made your grow much larger yielding and larger more dense nugs?? How was the light bill as opposed to regular CFL's. Check out my stealthy grow ice box that I have going on right now

I believe the LED lights made an autoflower larger (I used 5 gallon pot with ffof soil). Autos are at least supposed to be on the smaller side. It ended up bigger than my last photoperiod bubblicious. The LED lights beat up my plant less too. With CFL alone my plants had leaves yellowing and browning a bit in the final weeks. Even though they say that is normal, with LED leaves stayed darker green right up until harvest day. Heat issue were my biggest gain, had no problem keeping things between 75-80 with LED. My colas had more resin and crystals ontop of crystal. But that may be cause I changed my carbs from molasses to bud candy. All in all I came out with 3 quart jars of blueberry auto. Buds were tight and dense with LED no more fluffiness like CFL.

You can't really compare two different plants and strains and expect to make a good judgment based on yields. At least compare two similar phenos of the same strain.

CFL's do burn! I switched to large 100 actual watt cfl's so I didnt have to move all those 23 watters around the plant. Problem with the big CFL's is they put out heat. Two or three can really raise temps. I only use cfl to veg now.

I have grown with both cfl's and led... i prefer led because they are so much cooler in temp. perfect for cabinets and stealth growing. Just my opinion :)
leds last 50k hours too :shock:

True you cant compare two different statins exactly. However having observed both strains from sprout to flower, I cam see the difference in changing my lighting. The LED has definitley tightned up the bud structure. The LED light also penetrates deeper into the plant. Flowers were longer, and I got more bud. I think of I did the same strain side by side, there would be an obvious difference between cfl and led. Im no expert (2 grows) but light amount and quality seems to be everything, when it comes to growing cannibus.

hey bro, whaft led did you go with? i am currently a cfl user, and am having simular issues as you were, and have been contemplating using led, i just have limited cash, and limited knowledge on what direction to go regarding what LED setup to go with. there are literally 1000's of choices. i want to get the most bang for my buck...(obviously, right?) thanks for any help

thanks man, will look into it....i did also find a kessil h150 for 79 bucks....seemed pretty cool, i am only growing in a nightstand type cabinet, CFL, and it does get pretty warm. i am constantly battling the temps. Led seems to be the senisble way to go.....

A51 will run ya a steep price.. you get what you buy. I haven't purchased their smaller ones but if using only a nightstand I'd probably give it a shot. My two 190s raised my temps maybe 5 degrees.

Trust me the Kessil's are nice and they work! Also say good bye to heat issues and constantly having to keep your plant from growing into hot cfl's. Now if you got the cheese and a tent A51 is awesome. But Kessils are very nice and give me excellent dense, hard buds. The H350 light is my favorite at $250 a pop. One of these will handle a plant or two. The H150's are more supplimental and can handle a single plant. With Kessil you can build a system over time easier, than springing for an expensive massive Area 51 panel. Once again start with a H350 Magenta over tops, and use cfl or Tube floros for side light.

You can buy 3ft rails from BMLHorticulture and even choose your own colors. 2 rails $450 OSRAM diode too

Mine should be here 7-10 days, going to add them to my 2 WHITE ufo 90s

see what I mean about too many options you guys!! lol....but I actually like the kessil's for the affordability, and what not....a kessil h150, for one plant..you think I could stretch it to do two? with the help of cfl of coarse..... I am brand new to led, and yea, the low heat sounds very enticing to me for sure, shit, I am TIRED of getting up 2-3 times a night to reload two more 2 liter soda bottles outta the freezer, and into the box, it works great...keeps me at about 75 degrees....but I lose a shit load of sleep!!! plus....I don't want to admit this, but I fucking forgot to turn my exaust on one day after cleaning out the cabinet, and they cooked for 6 hours and burnt the shit outta my babies~ I almost cried. that was a day I made my mind up to go led eventuallty. cfl betrayed me! lol it was like 100 plus degrees, how they did not hermie, or let alone DIE beats the hell outta me!
