hey everyone....i am switching from flood and drain to individual container growing and letting veg for longer for bigger yeilds. its indoor the flowering space is 8 x 10 with 2k hps. my question is what do i use for my medium? i only want to water 3 times tops daily so i want something that has good drainage but exceptional mostuire holding capabilities. ive been using just hydroton in my flood and drain and i want to keep it hydro. i am just gonna water by hand 1-3 times daily. i dont wanna use soil cause i just like the taste of hydro better. soil is great but i just prefer hydro...ya know. some people have told me to use ratios like 70% hydroton 30% small rockwool cubes. some say just use foxfarm soil. some say just use ready gro but i cant just go off "try this even though ive never used it". i would like someone to tell me what they use and if possible show me results.

Why are you switching from ebb and flow? I am having great sucees with grodan 6",rapid rooter (sits right in the grodan), and a few hydroton pellets in the bottom of the container. Did eliminate the rapid rooter and just used a few hydrotons in the grodan and that has worked too.
