Synergistic effects of Hop resin (lupulin) and cannabinoids??? +rep!

Hey RIU community.
I have two things starting to bloom in my garden right now; AK-47 and Hops (Humulus lupulus)!

Now, I've heard sparse and vague rumors of lupulin glands/resin (not to mention myriad flavinoids, terpenes, isoprenoids, etc.) enhancing the effects of Cannabinoids and other constituents of ganja.

Has anyone had any experience with this???
E.g; sprinkling some yellow lupulin resin on top of a bowl? ...or smoking it alone even?
I'm so tempted to try it!!!

I have heard that if you smoke hops it makes you tired.
Yeah, I would think it would increase the sedative effect for sure.
I know they make "hop pillows" that are supposed to help you sleep.
Most bed-time tea mixes contain hops too.

I just now smoked a very small amount of the yellow lupulin resin that I meticulously scraped off of one of the hops with a razor blade.
It took forever to get a very small amount. Very sticky like trichomes. I plopped the tiny, bright amber piece of "hop-hash" onto a bowl of some heavy indica bud. Im fairly familiar with the typical effects of this bud, as I have been smoking it for a couple months now.
I shall update if there are any noticeable differences.
I will also take the placebo effect into consideration and repeat the experiment several times.

What variety of hops are you growing?

I have some dried Cascades. I was amazed that when you crumble those how much dried yellow lupulin there was. I imagine that some varieties of hops when well cured add slight nuance / complexity that would be a very nice addition to a joint. The hops I had were probably dried right after they were harvested. I imagine if you are growing them you could cure them like bud to would tone down grassyness / harshness.

I tried it today with some crumbled hops mixed in my bowl. Not sure if there is any difference in effect yet. For the most part it It had the same basic flavor profile of cannabis (no funky aftertaste); the bong hit the same as usual except there was a slight harshness (I blame this more on the Cascades because they are a stronger aromatic hop that has more of that grassy flavor in its profile) although I must admit that one of the hits was pretty harsh.

I think a well cured hop would probably taste REALLY good.

The synergy comes from myrcene.

The Myrcene helps the THC cross the blood brain barrier. Same reason mangoes make you higher.

Eat the Hops or eat the mangoes 45 minutes before smoking. If you have hops hash though you can just smoke together.
