T5 works great, specially the HO type (high output) can even get the VHO (very high output)

most important with em is to keep em close to the plants and the plants short as the penetrations is`t great with fluorescence light

and also get em in the right Kelvin (2700K and 6500K) and Ratio

Ditto ^^^ T5's work great but vary in output quality...
for HO's
- at the low end are the 4x54W Hydrofarm units @ about $100 per
- mid range are the Sunlight Supply TEK's $200-$300 fot 4x54 & 6x54
- at the higher end are the ATI units with ATI or Korallen Zucht bulbs

you can go overboard or cheapo on anything, but I'd get a cheaper Hydrofarm unit but with mid grade GE or Phillips bulbs (6500K)

you just need the right bulbs... for veg htg 5400k, for flower. zoo med flora suns, uvl redsuns, htg 2700k, htg 5400k. Don't use 6500k, its useless
