t5 vs. t12 fluorescents

what's the difference between the two and which one is better?

t5's are better they use less power and have a larger light spectrum

do you know of any cheap t5 systems

T-5's are more efficient than T-12's in terms of light output per wattage. For example a 4 bulb t-5 system generates the same amount of lumens as would a 400 W MH but only consuming a little over 200 watts versus 400 watts. I do not know about cheap units but units that I have been running into were under 300 dollars.
