Yeah I recently googled tobacco seeds and was surprised to see how many different strains there we're. It's amazing how well the tobacco companies have kept seeds out of their products. I smoke a pack a day and I've never found 1 seed.

Trichomes are just outgrowths or appendages growing from the epidermis or outer cellular wall of plants and protists. Examples are hairs, glandular hairs, scales, papillae, and even cactus spines.

There are a lot of plants that produce trichs, 99.9% is for defensive reasons and the other .1% is so we the people will know when the shit is ripe for the pickin'

Thats becouse the leaves of tobacco are whats smoked , not the flowers that produce hundrets of thousands of tiny seeds
