Taking off fan leaves during flowering stage

Hello all so is it ok to prune and cut fan leaves during flowering. I have an indoor plant that can use a hair cut . Will it affect her in anyway and what's the best way to go about it. Also have an outdoor supper bushy huge fan leaves blocking bud sites . There both like week 5 of flower any advice??

I would suggest not going crazy if you need to do it

selective pruning works ok just a few here and there to open the canopy for light penetration not all at once 3 of 4 a day and pick the ones that are blocking the most light DONT STRIP YOUR PLANT

I wouldn’t take leaves off them at this point.

I heavily defol end of week 3 and strip at least the lower 3rd of the plants.

The plant under the blurple light does not need any leaves removed. Looks pretty bare as it is.

I've seen plants getting almost stripped and bouncing back fine, personally that's not for me I stick with selective defoliation only.
