i was wondering if this will work. grow some seedlings indoor under flourescent grow light for about 4 weeks at 16/8. when i transition them to outdoors the light will be about 14 hours a day. by the end of flowering light is about 9 hours a day where i live. so ive grown here before n it works wonderful. but i have never put indoor plants outdoor. will the two hour decrease trigger them? should i just grow them under 14 hours of light? i ffeel like i should get them a lil more light when there yooung. if anyone has any information regarding my situation plase feel free to reply. thanks

Plants grown under fluoros do not do well when exposed to the sun without an extensive preparatory procedure. Eventhen you'll find leaves grown under fluoros will not handle the sun at all, ever. The plant will actually shed those early leaves in favor of sun grown leaves.

All my experience with this is from tomatoes, so your mileage may vary. Tomatoes do not do well when transitioning from a 600 HPS to the fairly weak spring sun. The sun is vastly more powerful, obviously.

it's an easy process if you start early in the seedling's life. what you do is you put them outside during the day and then move them inside at night for the extra lighting hours.

I'm no pro, but the way I will do it is:

1. Seedlings grow/get strong under fluros
2. 1 week of vegging under 250w HPS
3. 1 week of -day outside- -night inside-
4. the rest only outside
