Tangled roots in Rainforest - trying to move from veg to flower

I have what might or might not be an issue. I have 18 beautiful WW plants in the a Rainforest system that are now ready to be moved over to a Waterfarm system for the flowering stage. The issue is that the roots on the 18 plants are HUGE and they have gotten all twisted up with one another in the Rainforest. The question I have is how do you untangle the roots so that the plants can be removed from one system to the other?

Can I just gently pull the roots while they are submerged in water in order to separate them.........anyone have any other ideas?

That would be the easiest way, gently untangle them while they're underwater. Do it slowly so you don't rip them apart, and your plants should recover quickly.

lol, i know the feeling, let me know how that works. I do the same exact transplant, but i only leave them in the rainforest for about a week or two so this has never been an issue yet
