Taotronics 240w

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with the taotronics 240w. I tried using the search function to no avail and google doesn't have much information rolling around either. I purchased one because it was on sale for 199 on amazon to add to my 1300w of advanced LEd.

If no one out there has tried them I might just do a test one advancedled300w vs taotronics 240w. obviously there would be a difference just by wattage alone but it would give a good idea of what each light is capable of.

Let me know guys I am super blitzed right now.

I too was tempted by the amazonian taotronics. I'm not sure that they had the flowering model for sale then. I used their 120w blue/white aquarium led in veg for over a year. Worked great until a humidifier/mister experiment in my tent. Never noticed a loss of intensity and I've got no qualms about purchasing another Taotronics light. Especially for the price.

I would love to see a comparison. The tao vegetative growth was great, but I haven't tried any of their plant models. I've been on the fence about purchasing an advanced led for quite a while. Taotronics seems to be on a level with Blackstar, HTG, or similarly priced brands (probably all from the same manufacturer in China), so it might be an informative test in that way too. At least I'd have more information on how advanced LED might compete with my other lights, lol. Post it!

I can tell you that no one will know the difference between a bud grown under advancedLED or HPS. I took mine in to the office and tested at 16.3 thc 21.4 thca. It was a blue dream cross that the seeds weren't really stable so I am really excited to see what the results of my upcoming lines are! Advanced LED is the way to go in my opinion you pay a little more but you have a 3 year warranty as well as the dude who works there will always help you out. I would rather pay more for a light from someone I think is a decent guy than pay for a bunch of cheap ones from china.

HOWEVER... if the cheap ones work... I would be more than happy to use them as additions to what I have. I can't afford anymore from advanced at the moment lol already bought 4 ds300 and 1 ds100.

They really do work well enough as supplemental. I use 1200 watts HPS, supplemented by 4 chinese panels. Penetrating and all encompassing HID with the LED's slowing stretch and boosting resin production where it's needed. It seems to round things out, or that could be me.

Half of one of the chinese lights did short out last month; just over a year old. One of the risks you take, I suppose. It still works well enough, but I really should replace it. Others have lasted over two years and are still going, but a 3 year warranty does help with the price.

Good luck with the tao, I'll keep an eye out in case you decide to do the comparison.
