Tastes like popcorn

First homegrown, grew outdoors. Had to harvest a little early because toward the end got bud rot. But the crystals were amber and cloudy, with only a few clear ones. Hung to dry for 7 days, it was still moist but some stems would snap. Felt dry on the outside, but it was still moist in the middle. It's been curing for three weeks. Burping it and such. It's super potent, it smells good, albeit green ish, but when you smoke it... it's gross. It smells like burnt popcorn and tastes like green leaves and burnt popcorn. It's gross. What did I do wrong? And how can I fix it?

Kinda sounds like you're smoking mould bro, you could always try the jorge cervantes method and wash it with h202 and water to remove the crap from it

I threw out the entire plant that had bud rot and I checked the others really well to make sure there was none in the ones I harvested. I'm not sure of the strain, I was given the little plant lings by my dad who didn't know the strain , either. I saw the same issue posted by someone else and the response was chlorophyll was making it harsh and have a yucky smell when burned. I did not put my cuttings nor the jars while it was curing in the dark. They feel pretty dry on the outside, but still pretty moist on the inside.

Soft bendy stems after 3 weeks in a jar means you didn’t dry long enough.

If I were you I’d dump it all out on a tray and let it air for 12hrs. Then jar it back up. Might not save the taste as it’s literally been fermenting for almost a month lol I

No, before jarring it, it was dry feeling, smaller stems broke easily and the larger ones were more bendy. It was moist on the outside, dry on the out when I jarred it.

But after reading more, I am going to try to clean it some I dunno. It gets you really high and smells great in the jar. Just tastes gross and smells bad after lit.
