Tea Or Organic Fert? Soil or no?

Hello all,

I plan on vegging 10 Iranian Auto Flower seeds this spring and planting them outside after they reach about 18". I want to do a completely organic grow and just have a few questions. When I use a soilless mix, should I use teas or fertilizers to give nutrients to my girls? I don't want to over fertilize. Also is there any soilless mix you suggest? Also also, would you recommend a soilless mix or one that is soil? Thank you for reading.

If you go soilless, you're going to have to monitor everything very closely. Soil gives you a huge buffer so it's not big deal if you're a little over or under; they won't die. Personally, I would go with soil, light nutes and tea. I'm growing the Docs Iranian G13 my self and I've never seen such amazing plants; you will not be disappointed!

Is this your first grow? If so, I'd recommend soil and fertilizer.

If you absolutely must do soil-less, I'd recommend Hempy Buckets or Coir. They're both newbie friendly hydro-techniques, but they will take more research and work on your part versus soil.

Teas are beneficial no matter how you grow, even if you're not keeping it organic. Here's a good tea thread:

EDIT: Yeah, what potpimp says.

Well I use sunshine #4, a soiless mix. It's a perfect mix for the earth juice I use. I literally stumbled upon this recipe. But it's perfect. Sunshine 4 has dolomite lime that buffers the ph just like acctual soil. although earth juice is very acidic when mixed (I don't even make a tea brew, just mix it with ph water) with water, it always buffers in the medium befor it hits the roots. With this system you get a quasi hydroponic system that you don't need to monitor ph or ppm in. It's a self regulating medium, when uses with earth juic or really any organics. The ph will always buffer to safe levels if it has dolomite limes:)

P.S. some people will suggest making a tea to stabilize the ph of the solutions. But in soil, or soilless mixes with dolomite like you can feed direct organic nutes without worry of ph burn or lock out. I never make a tea, and still never get ph issues under my conditions. Message me if ya got any more questions about soiless mixes!

Sorry for my grammar and shit I'm a bit drunk tonighT.

I must spread rep around before giving to potpimp again.

Dont forget some soiless mixes have dolomite lime that make it as safe as real soil!

With the formula I have laid out with EJ organic nutes, a buffered soilless mix, you don't need to worry about over feeding. If you like the idea, message me and I will help.
