Temp issue

Hey guys, just wanna say thanks in advance for your answers. Mostly all morning my temp with the HPS running 18-6 stays at about 78. Although from about 2-4 it gets no higher then 83. I'm growing in a small 2x4x6 grow tent so the heat won't get any lower for that period of day. Will 83 degrees for a couple hours effect it to much. As for humidity it stays at 50-53 all day/night. that temps being gauged from the plant itself 12-14'' from the reflector (which has a inline fine pulling through it and a CF).


Like i said, it never exceeds 83, is that to hot?

Try to dial it in to 1 temps lights on and another lights off, not too far off.
Although in my experience i have an overall temp ranging from 77-80 lights on, and my girls love it.
Spikes up to 85-87 happened during the summer, i did manual temp control though so never for extended periods.
You should be good, guy.

One thing you may want to consider is setting your timer so the lights are on at night, rather than the daytime. I'm flowering with lights on at 10:00 PM, off at 10:00 AM. Just give them one extended dark period as you make the switch.

My tent runs at 79-86 during lights now and they show no sign of heat stress, just keep fresh air moving around and you should be fine with you 83 degrees!

I've reset my light and 2 fans from 6pm to 12pm that way the 6 hours off is during the hottest hours of the day. I keep my in-line fans on 24'7 though.
