Temps hitting the 90s

Temps have hit hard this week. My barn is pushing 95 in the room. I can't run a split AC until I get some more amperage run out there. Tried today a few times and tripped the breaker. It's on a 15amp breaker, but the ac should only be pulling ~12 amps. Gonna try a 20amp tomorrow, if that isn't it then I'm just not getting enough juice from the main way out there.

Running air cooled lights, and 10" intake and exhaust to a 10x10 mylar wrapped room. The daytime temps (when lights are off) hover at like 82, at night with light it's been a steady 90, as high as 95-97 during yesterday's heatwave.

Anyone have any advice? I put the 2 1000w lights on rotating schedules for the night. 2 hours on, 2 hours off for each one. I just need to get through the summer, then I'll be more prepared and having more power available by next summer.


Ladies are still coming along though, but I did notice that they did not enjoy today at all. They look hot and sad. Pics from a few days ago, can update with more tomorrow.

If you got some funds order couple led panels that save you from the heat till you can upgrade your electrical.

Besides what you are currently doing or doing what Jdubb203 said, there isn't much you can do to bring down those kinds of temperatures without having some sort of dedicated cooling source. But a barn way out back is the perfect place to build a Geothermal Pumping System that uses less than 100 watts of power and will easily out preform the best 5 ton AC unit money can buy and it doesn't matter what climate zone you live in. because whether its 32 degrees outside or 120 degrees outside there is no thermal fluctuations in a Geothermal Pumping System.

My room is out of control hot this summer. Somehow the buds keep getting fatter and the plants are ok. I use co2, silica, and plenty of kelp products to help the plants fight back. I can't tear it apart now and next run temps will be better anywsy. It's the first time my system has not kept up with temps, and though I'm not happy I'm ok with it. Ill dim lights soon and lower co2 and that will help.

I would love to do geothermal as a long term solution.

I would also like to make a few led builds, I already have them spec'd out, just a matter of getting parts and slappin them together.

I've been using kelp, I'll have to track down some silica.


If I can make it through the summer I'll have everything in order to avoid this problem next year - I've put every penny that hasn't gone to bills or vehicle repairs into this room, so this is all I got for the time being.

I plan to run some more juice out there before next spring. I'll try to get some pics tonight when the lights kick on.
