alright boys need some help. have not posted much just done a lot of reading. I am having some serious issues with my temps. the light cycle 12/12 turns on at 8pm off 8am friend of mine thinks that may be the issue. b/c my a/c isn't kicked on as much at night.
reguardless enough is enough this needs too be taken care of. central ac kept at 76 and temps get as high as 86.5 at the end on the light cycle.

grow setp up includes
6" ducting
completely sealed off central air which runs through 4 600 watt lights and ducts out into the storage attick above. there is a 8inch inline fan with a soon to be attached carbon filter, place right by a light and all four amps. felt this would suck out some of the hot air. I also have a four inch inline fan with a carbon filter scrubbing in the opposite corner. here is a couple of pics.

I thought my system was bad ass lol. I did not see any regular ventilation fans in your setup. having ventilation fans pointing upwards especially toward your exahust will help draw out the heat better. Heat rises so use that concept to your advantage. Hey are those green lights party bulbs. I wanted to get green light bulbs but was afraid of some minute imperfection that would mess with the photperiod of my flowering plants. I will just stick to my green led head lamp which makes me feel like a special forces night soldier lol

86.5 is not idea but I don't think you should worry. I just added a 2nd inline fan and a huge can filter to it and it droped the heat from 83 to 79 in 3 minutes.

Golden ray ... what type of inline fan did you use? I have an extra regular 6in ducting inline fan but maybe i should consider attaching that 4in scrubber somewhere... what do you think?
calicat... yeah those are green bulbs from home depot they seem to be working fine i work while there on all the time.

i just started week 6... i'm a first time grower so i am not sure if they are going to fill out a little better. b/c at this point honestly i am a little disappointed with the looks of the yield.

where is your intake coming from?...I know central ac but how is it hooked into your ducting?....also...your fan isnt pulling enough cfm to vent those hoods...try getting another fan and only venting two lights off of each fan....I also dont have a good idea of how you are venting the room....more details on how everything is hooked up...a few simple calculations and you can have the temps where ever you want them...with what I can see...off the top of my head....you are gonna need at least 350 cfm for each hood...so two fans should do the trick....also for venting the room....are gonna wanna pull at least 1000cfm...:eyesmoke:

Alright---let me and my homie's take a swing at it----looks like your number one concern is the heat----so let toss some ideas your way--first off-the a/c really doesn't seem to be taking care of anything but raising your power bill:cry:. since your temps are under 90-I would toss the idea of the A/C and concentrate on cheaper ways to lower your temps--I would use a 500 cfm ventilation fan(can fan 8L or similar) if your room has 8' ceilings then your room size is 1152 cf or 1440 cf if they are 10'. With a 500 cfm fan you will be able to exchange your room air in 2.3 to 3 mins which is acceptable(I always use the 4 min max as a rule of thumb) next I would build AL B. FUCT's --TSTAT W/fan controller for under 100.00 and set it to the max temp you want---say 83---. They also have small CAP temp controller's that you could plug your fan into and just set the temp but I like the AL B. FUCT digistat. When you start getting into big cfm fans they can pull a lot of juice---I think the 8L is 180 watts @ 2amp and puts out 493cfm. They have a 8L turbo that is 700 or so cfm but again---more juice needed. Look into all the fans and find the ones you like that have the highest ouput of true cfm's and little power usage. Good luck.

golden ray what does FIM mean? .... sorry first timer
it is said to stand for "Fuck I Missed" when you make the wrong cut while topping and 3-8 (apparently) new stems achieve vertical growth... the cut i made a little above the normal topping style leaving some of the tip intact
