Tent help - Sun Hut ventalation help

Hello all, I finally have a sun hut xxl (supposed to be 8'x4' but it is a bit bigger) set up and am now trying to figure out the best way to keep heat down. I have two 600w digital ballasts (quantum dimmable) with cool tubes for the lamps, two 6" can fans, one can 66 filter, and some led bars just for kicks. One thing I don't have any more money for is a camera so I'll have to find one on the cheap or borrow. But I must admit I'm a little sketched about pictures.

Anyway, with both fans hooked up, lights on but just ducted out into the same room temps went from 72 (it's in the high 70's outside) to 90 in 50 minutes.

So, I was thinking about puttint the intake for the cool tubes under the house and the other end in the attic. Any thoughts? Then what should i do with the other, just scrubb inside the tent or should I duct it out too?

THe tent has four passive screened vents around the bottom - how do those play in? Do I need anouther intake fan or just a house fanby one of those vents? Oh, I forgot to mention - my themometer was about 30" directly below one of the 600's and those passive ventes were taped shut. Thanks in advance for any advice - especially looking to hear from other tent growers.

Make air to and from lights outside. Then filter air from grow to outside. Otherwise vent grow roomm toroom then use room for intake to lights and output to outside

How do you have those lamps vented? From the discription I belive you have ventable lights. A fan with your carbon filter on the intake side of the fan. The exaust end of the fan is hooked to you vent tube that is plumbed into the lamp fixture then piped out of the room. To bring new air in you can go with air from outside the house which will change when the weather changes or you can plumb a vent that takes in cool air like from a basement or simply just from the floor of a seperate room.

Ive got air coming in from the room, through the tubes and out into the attic (where the fan is). Ive got the filter hooked up to a seperate fan - b/c i guess it'll need to be going sometimes when the lights are out too? I dont know if I've got the time for this stuff. I can't decide whether I should go through with it or not. Just venting now but my real work has really suffered and by takign some of the wrong advice I may have jeopardized my plants. Just think what a basket case I'll be in flower!

i have the same tent but small if you have one blower for both lights at the start of the vent where u draw your clean air to run through the cool tubes u might try putting just a duct booster for a little added boost i imagine it would bring the temps down and if it doesnt work you could return it only like 30-40 at homedepot or lowes

OK so have a tube that leads from the light to the fan which exausts in the attic. The air comes in from the other side of your fixture? Adding a tube to the other side of the fixture that leads to your filter so the exaust fan is sucking air out of the room through that filter should be enough if your fan has the right amount of CFM.

Your running the fan because of heat and your talking about a filter so I assume oder controll is in order as well. So yeah you will need ventilation when the lamps are out. There are alot of differant ways to handle that with 1 fan here is what I used http://www.thegardendepotinc.com/7786.html Search arround though this hydro company has good prices but I think its because they screw you with a large shipping/handeling charge. The one I linked lets you set a daytime and night time temp settings there are many other brands with differant options. A recycling timer that has a photocell allowing you to set differant on/off pierods for night and day should also accomplish what your looking for. Yes I suppose 2 fans, one for the light when its on plugged into same timer and a 2nd smaller CFM fan to be on constantly (or off pierods you add CO2) would also work however your now paying for 2 fans, double the vent tubeing, 2 Filters and burning more juice. I still think 1 good fan and a controller of some sorts is the better answer.
