Tent help, temp too high

Hi, i have an agromax tent 4ft x 4ft. I have a 6inch hv fan and a 600 watt light with no air cooled reflector. I have the hv fan inside my tent near the top with a vent duct running out of it, into the room the tent is in. I have a vent port open near the bottom of my tent that is open to let air in.i have a box fan inside of the tent too suspended from the ceiling.(trying to cool it down.)



my problem is my temps are way to hot if i close my tent doors the temp gets to 93f if i open the tent it gets to 90. What to do

u need a inline booster feeding the system ...........if u had a sealed lighting unit with ducting and fan drawl the heat out (cooltube or other seal light) the passive system would be fine

u need something with 100 cfm or more the cool air will settle at the bottom and if u keep the pressure up it will stay cool

a 4 inch inline booster is 80 cfm (one saids it is 100 )
a 6 inch linline booster fan is 240 from amazon has metal blades (with a filter pad/bug screen ) u will be around were u want

So if i get one of them how would i install it? Would i have it connected to a duct or would i just put it in my vent port on my tent? And i would have the air blowing into the tent? How much do you think that will lower the temps if the room the tent is in is around 83f

what is the air temp of it ouside the tent

yes u are going to have to blow it inside....ok i just looked up your tent .......when u upgrade later and keep this as a flower tent make sure u have a lower vent port

yours is going to require parts .....most of them are at a home depot or lowes here is what u need

sir looking at the cost of the extras i am going to change it ...........your best choices is going to be reinvest into a cooltube(carbon scrubber 6 inch if worried about smell) and a inline fan 6 inch with ducting

i do not know what u have now as in lights and the system i found something i like and looking into investing into after i finish and figure out if i want to go all out or if i just want to keep this and do personal only

my choice for the upgrade .........this will be cheaper then the other choice since u have no lower vent port

and run a duct from it to the tent, mines awesome

check the tent design

he has no lower venting it would have to go tho the top and down and he does not have the built on sleves he need the flanges

along with that he is going to lose speed on the wind do the 90o bend and it is being exposed to the heat so losing part of the temp before it hits

mines just inserted through the zipper and some cloth pulled up around to block out light...
also what 90' angle are you talking about i use 6" flex dryer duct, and on top of that im using the same size
tent setup have a 4x8 tent, and currently use half of it,
and a 600.watt e.ballast.dimmable with a parabolic
reflctor, smokey.

as u see there is no lower venting he would have to go strait to the top buy the flange then go in and down to the floor venting it up high does not help protect the plant

as u tho the door then u are in a place the stink does not matter never assume ppl can get away with it .......i have a state cop next door with kids if he smelled my little buddies my ass would be shot so fucking fast.........right now we have a understanding i wave /he nods we leave each other alone (if one of the kids are hurt they can come here and will get help fast....home alone type deal ) other then that we leave each other alone

well he.could still pull this off by undoing the.velcro at the.bottom
of the door.and insert the flexible ducting then stuff clotch around it to seal the light,
then he could hang a string to aim say duct at above canopy level,to between
the.reflector, then have the cfm fan pulling from actual flange to carbon filter,
now.tell me how that stinks to much?? i have 7 girls in bloom currently
and i use no cfm fan or carb. filter, and i still dont have a smell prob. outside my house

what strain

i have one going into bloom now and if i leave that tent door open for more then a min or too the upstairs starts to stank good


just for your own covering your ass .....u do know if u are letting the window ac pull uncleaned air the water that drips out the back has been contamanted with the smell of weed and a drug dog will hit

u need to plant some peppers or other mess up the dogs nose plants out by where it drips

i do admit when i open the tent doot is does get stanky
but if he had the the outtake fan.with c. filter how.would.
smell be a problem, unless checking ,watering etc?
btw thats a great idea about peppers makes me wanna.do it

well i know they work ....and so does jasmine flowers if u are in a climate u can do it .....for other plants and stuff look at what the cartels use to pack coffee,jasmine flowers,peppers

maybe throw in some mint to make that smell stronger ....mint is one of those open up your sence plants that combined with a pepper/jasmine blast in the nose the doog will be out of the game for a week to 10 days.....does them no harm permittly ....and as it is your land/yard they have no right too tell u what u can have planted there if the plant is legal ........even if u do not plant it go out and pour hot suace for the capsaysin/ black pepper as it is your yard u are golden ....if u try to do this before the dogs sniff the car they get really pissy ..techinally it not illegal but they will find a reason to mess with u


just to cover your ass ...if they do come and knock on door and tell u they are going to check ...warn them u have plants to repele dogs so they do not mess up your yard .........if u do not have any u have a fear of dogs when the cops ask ............just scream like a girl that is being chanced with poo on a stick act like that and u have a fear to them

here is the last thing use this in the yard if u have no dogs and u put a sign up the dogs will not come near it

You're venting the heat out of the tent into the room and then drawing that same warm air back into the tent? No wonder you're having heat issues. You have to get rid of the heat, not just stir it around. Run the duct from your hv fan out a window or something. Or you can air condition the room. Without some idea what outside climate you're working with, its difficult to advise.

Still too hot. Your room temp is too warm. Your tent will be even hotter. You have to exhaust the heat outside or get A/C

I did something similar, but the A/C was too big and wouldn't dehumidify properly.

You're looking at the wrong thing. He actually has NO ventilation. He's just circulating hot air from the tent to the room to the tent to the room..........

Just because a stoner like you doesn't notice, doesn't mean nobody else does. Sense of smell varies widely among humans. Trained police dogs sense of smell is thousands of times stronger than ours. Get a filter.

Hows that work? ac usually relies on returning the cooled air to cool it again, and repeat.

The air will leak out the tent, cross the room, and get sucked back thru the A/C, eventually.

it just sucks out air in the room the tent is.in.
