Tent or Room?

Is it better to rig a closet up and cut holes into the wall, or is it better to just order a tent and put it inside the closet?

Tent would be much less work. My room with is 9x9 and it took a fair amount of time/hard work. I am very pleased with the overall results though. A tent would be easier and you wouldn't have to do any renovations to your home. You can't exactly make a grow room disappear in a matter of an hour, unlike a tent also. You would also have a way less chance of causing some serious mold issues to your house.

i like the tents dude, you can put 2 tents in one room and have 1 for vegging and 1 for flowering a d not take up more than 20 sq feet

hey man im trying to work out the same problem. but i wana grow in my spare room out in the open on a bench with fluros or 250watt metal halide. so then i wont have temp problems or ventalation probs. plz any advice would be gr8t

I have not that big of a grow and am a nub sorta still but i noticed my temps got way easier to control when i siwtched to a tent rathern than a big closet or a bathroom.

I got a good place in my heart for tents, scientifically speaking.

Get a 1000. You will eventually if you got an extra room

A tent is def quicker to set up but with all the stuff I would be hanging (lights, carbon filter, cooltubes, fans) I was worried about how much weight the bars in the tents could hold so I made a closet. Also wouldn't you have to buy equip that matched the hole sizes in the tents for fans etc? or wouldn't you end up having to cut the fabric for it to fit? For me the final price tag ended up being around the same.

A tent wasnt a good option for me but others have done incredibly well with them.

dude i have a tent and i cant say anything bad about them, i just got done putting 17 1gallon growbags in a 20"x36"x64"!!!!.....in it i hang a 250w MH, a 16" rotating fan, a 4" inline fan(which comes with 4 and 6" flanges for a snug fit without any cutting or extra work) and a 4" carbon filter. i plan on making this one my veg room and getting another thats 39"x39" and making that my flowering room.

depends really do you rent or own. if you rent i would go with a tent. landlord might not like holes in the walls.

my tents awesome...and i hang everything from the top (6"x24" filter, fan, reflector) with no problems...ive seen a 170 lbs sales rep hang from the top of a secret jardin with no problems

tents are smooth sailing if you have a somewhere to exhaust (i suggest directly outside or into another room)...

well, i own the condo. but the only thing is, i cant have the tent just sitting out in the room. I alrady have a designated spot, whcih is in the closet near the liviing room. So either way, i will have to create a exhaust and intake anyways
