Tent walls

Anybody got any tips the tent sucking sir in has made my growing foot print maybe 100mm each side smaller
Don't know if opening like plug wire holes up the top of the tent ..know to make my intake area bigger
I think this is the first grow I've noticed this
Suppose makes my light super effiecnt

Try this, or put up some pvc pipe as a cage

About canopy level do you reckon

That’s what I did after seeing a tip from someone else. I suppose you could put up a few levels if you need.

you can get intermediate poles to span the sides...mine did it to originally

Get a bigger intake, there's no need for this much negative pressure, I see it all the time though, it only needs to be sufficient so smells don't escape, when your tent is sucked in this much you're greatly reducing the ability of your equipment to control your environment, I bet if you had a bigger intake you would even be able to turn your exhaust down abit and still maintain the same environment.

I do understand why people do this cos it's scary to think smells might escape but it really isn't necessary, ANY level of negative pressure will do the trick

I 3d printed some corner clips from Thingiverse, they allow you to snap in wooden dowel that run around the tent about half way up.

I use a 1/2" PVC cross suspended in the center of the tent.

Pushed the walls out a bit today

I'm using a 6 inch fan on aduct few bends on it
Was using a 4 inch fan it wasn't cutting it like was a bit Danky in there
The 6 inch gives a good fresh air
What about maybe a 6 inch intake duct

I just put a piece of screen actually it was a piece of a furnace filter and zip tie to a piece of two inch pipe and stuck it in a port at the bottom of the tent which allowed passive air flow and my tent didn't suck in at all

Just experiment until there's only slight negative pressure, open up vents etc. you'll see when it's sufficient as the tent walls will relax and won't be so taught

speaking of vents..... do most simply open them to the outside world?
I have thin, old cardboard framed small furnace filters in front of my intake vents to minimize anything from the basement entering the tent. They also double as light blockers. So my tent negative pressure might be above most others. I guess it depends on where your intake gathers it's fresh air from

I don't use the screened openings at all, just draws bugs when the lights are on.
I use these or something similar, they have a double layer filter to keep light and bugs out.
You can use a flange like the photo, or run a piece of duct. Easier to pop off and clean also.

Usually, you want 2 passive intakes same size(or bigger) than exhaust duct.
Keep the airflow balanced by using same lengths of intake duct.

Snag a set of the vivosun poles that are made to hold the tent sides out. They work great!!

Many tents manufacturers have extra poles for this.
The wire shelving from homedepot also works great zip tied to your posts.

just use pantyhose (net) for flow filter 1 euro....passive air in, outside tent


as spacers maybe use broken yard stick like this: over the spacer looks maybe much for you like10cm but is only 3cm at highest

the xtra spacers, alu spacers etc all 2 expensive. the air flow net, the dry cabinets, the dry nets etc. they just want make money u not need that...and i never belive youre tent wall going 100mm (10 cm) in... LOL
i use a 40cm x 40cm x 160cm = 0,16square meters tent with a overdimensional axial fan with 275 m³/h and the walls are 20mm (2cm) at highest in....and the axial fan is for 80cm x 80cm x 200cm = 0,64square meters maybe for 120cm x 120 cm x 200cm = 1,44square meters space tents!
also my axial fan is total overdosed for just a small 40cm x 40cm x 160cm = 0.16square meters tent!
also i just winder how can it be...with your tent walls???

and maybe iam to stoned...and read now the tent is not smaller becoose of the air...
also it is smaller becoose the size of tent minus the size of the tubular also maybe 40cm minus the 2cm tubular thickness each side...but your tubulars are not 5cm in your tent, maybe you must press the ties more then the size is from the tent casing will fit and is not longer 100mm to small...idk what the problem is? mean you the growspace is not 40cm x 40cm is in reality only 38cm x 38cm? or we talk about the tent casing not fit? or the walls are pulled in from the axial fan ? sry that i so hard stoned!


i think you mean the axial fan pull the tent walls together...in your photo the left wall is never 10cm in...thats normal the tent not suck! how big is nthe axial fan ??? 80000qubikmeters per hour?? can you run the fan maybe with half power??

idk why he schould buy an intake axial fan or ventilator...intake is passiv....
i think intake axial and outtake axial we not need...here is very much vakuum LMAO and all works fine! idk why he should use intake axial or ventilator to become vakkum down! he can use better for 3 euro spacers from yard stick, or bromm handle for 5 euro for the larger tent as spacers to become the tent walls back in position! no 50 or 100 euro intake axial fan or again money for a ventilator needed! PASSIV intake!
or mean you the tent pull mega hard together becoose of so much vakuum, and he schould buy another bigger axial fan for outtake, and had then 3 times more vakuum than before ???
or he schould buy a new bigger axial fan for outtake with 25% 50% 75% etc.power steps for 300- 500 euro? to run it on 25%???

can be the case my english is 2 bad and i not understand ! but i dont think so...

I used this in my 2x4 grow, it gave support and also kept the sides from sucking it.

Blow a big ass fan into there. It will inflate the tent more than it is now.
