Fuck Yeah. The Great CBD Hunt is on with a prime Harlequin cut...

As a Medicinal Cannabis Patient, Caregiver and Grower I have been following the CDB hunt for quite some time and we are now a part of it with TGA Subcool's HarlequinX. I will be tracking these 5 beans from germination to finish, smoke reporting and lab testing.

I am so fucking excited. The cut we are working with tested in the 8% CBD range which I know will be of significant benefit to our patients.

I changed my germination routine from soaking seeds for 24-36 hours until they sprout and then planting them in soil cups, to Sub's method of starting seeds in upside down rapid rooters. I believe this will give me a much better "base" plant to start with once I move it to soil since it will essentially be rooted in a medium already.

Our 5 HarlequinX entered wet rapid rooters under 24 hour fluorescents on 06/03/12. Let's see what happens...

fuck.....yeah....i have some harley testers in the mail, but have to play the numbers game, but they are in line, found out the harley was on the way literally minutes after i put c.q. in rooters!......in the mean time, you know i will be all over this m.f'er!.....

It is a Harlequin cross so we put an X on the end. We aren't 100% positive of the cross because the mother wasn't quarantined. Sub thinks it was mostly pollinated with the JTR but added that it could also have been Vortex or Querkel. So we shall see what comes of these... hoping for the best of course :-)

UPDATE 06/08/12 All systems go. All seeds germinated within 5 days and are above ground with only #5 lagging slightly.

UPDATE 06/10/12 Day 7 from germination. HarlequinX continuing to rock out... All seeds germinated and put into 1 gallon test pots. In the past I have gone to 18 oz soil cups first but I was getting the plants root-bound too early in the process, so going straight to 1 gallons should take care of that. Plants were put in soil with the most vigorous first and labeled #1, all the way to #5, the least vigorous. This numbering scheme helps me stay on top of the more vigorous girls and boys down the line. Plants have been getting a light feed of BotaniCare (rooting formula) since jump, medium is Sunshine Mix4 + Perlite.

We'll be drooling for a long time I believe sub said they are not planning on adding a lot of new strains any time soon so these are probably going to be testing a while before they're available for sale

Yes... I am super pumped to be running this test.

Females will all be run, smoke and lab tested.

Males will have pollen chucked, looking to pass along those CBD's to some of my killer mother plants...
