I didn't hear him say sub's soil "wasn't organic". He DID bring up some good points about not knowing for sure what is in "bagged soils" like FFOF or RO, etc. He also brings up a good point about OMRI being bullshit. This is nothing more than the typical grower, chest pounding, "My dad can kick your dad's ass", egotistical b.s. He thinks his mix is better than sub's. Big deal! Let the guy think he's "God's gift to growing". I'd be willing to wager that if you took a poll of the growers here at RIU, that the vast majority would say that their grow knowledge is superior or that they grow better cannabis or whatever. lol! What does him being a "sex offender" have to do with anything? Does that somehow mean his information is incorrect? Go ask subcool if his super soil is organic. I bet he will tell you that he cannot say whether it's organic or not. Let me let you in on a little secret; Epsom Salts are NOT ORGANIC! I realize that it is considered an organic amendmant by many organic farmers, but it is not. There are other elements of super soil that aren't organic. That and using bagged soils as the base for the super soil. He is saying that you don't really know what they are putting into those bags. Some of the elements may not be organic. Look, I could care less about all of that. He brings up some valid points. And did you know that if you got caught jerking it in public that you'd be considered a "sex offender"? There are a lot of charges that meet the "sex offender" criteria that aren't necessarily rapes or violent crimes against someone else. I have no idea what he allegedly did though, sooooo...........

I wanted to clarify that while he does have some good points-ideas in my opinion. However, he has said many things I don't agree with and he to has a ton of speculation and like doc stated "Chest Pumping"....That will tend to make people think your stuck on yourself and not focused as you claim to be medicinally. If you dont agree with someone, or dont like them, its far easier, and more beneficial to leave. Its a much more focused thought. Who the fuck cares about what other people say about others soil recipe. I don't even see why you personally are taking offense to this. If you were subcool I'd understand, but he probably doesn't give a fuck cause he knows from experience that his soil recipe works great.

As long as their has been the argument amongst growers that: "My bud is better than your bud blah blah" there has been the argument that: "my soil is better than your soil." Has the soil food web been bought up in any of those arguments. Probably not. As evidenced by this thread, not many people even know what the soil food web is or refers to. They just want to have that safety net of saying that it's organic.

Well, I don't even know what an organic recipe soil means. As said early, water isn't organic. But I do know that a good microbiology in soil makes good bud. What types of shit, blood, bones, etc, you put into your recipe doesn't matter as much as all the tiny microscopic creatures that they attract. Instead of just following Subcool's recipe, you should look into what he's doing and why. I'm not going to watch the video of the angry black man, but I can assure you that his soil recipe is probably very good too. Maybe organic is just a code word for: "I got soo many fucking little critters in my soil you bitch," but I dunno.

Who cares who's soil is better? Best to leave that to others to decipher. After all there is many people who take there soil very very serious, and perhaps this thread enlightened them on some things.

Personally, I think its all a bunch of chest pounding jackwagon wit. This guy is try to preach to you to think for yourself and to not believe him all the while he is making an effort to convince the watcher of him being correct with his wit. He has points of interest, and points I can prove him wrong on. Take what ya will from it and leave it at that.

The effort to discredit someone because of behavior might work for you, it might not. I would recommend you just think for yourself

The OMRI decided that since God wasn't paying them for OMRI certification that they were removing their cert from water! lmfao!!!!!!

Seriously though, H2O is an inorganic molecule. It doesn't come from anything living nor does it contain a Carbon atom or Benzene ring. Most organic farmers use at least a few things that aren't organic without even realizing it.

I guess I'm confused then. I thought that as long as it occurs naturally in nature then it's orgainic but as I type that I realize how stupid that is.
So to be organic it has to come from something living or contain a Carbon atom or benzene ring?

That's correct. There are a few exceptions such as Carbonates. They contain Carbon but don't come from living things and are not considered organic molecules. Most "chemical" ferts use stuff that occurs naturally, like mined rock phosphate, etc.

What cracks me up is the hippies that come into my store and want to buy products that Know one has every heard of.
They say they need all the micro life to get that taste out of there bud.
WELL, if you are growing indoors in containers, Your dirt isn't used long enough to create the kind of micro life they need.
that's why you have to cook sub's soil for 30 days and he says it gets better the longer it cooks. It gives it the time it needs to create that soilweb of micro life.
