Thanks everyone who posts here especially the long term gromies!

I have been lurking this page since the start of my plants (first timer) has been since roughly November and have always came back to rollitup to see the discussions being held. It's awesome to see a community that's actually helpful for the fellow gromies. I run 600 watt mh and of course ventilation is an issue and the only good answers I have found across the web are from here! Posts from back in 2010 to now! Every post is a good community vibe with the feeling of grow science not bro science. You guys are awesome! Just flipped a couple days ago. Have topped and used training clips and have learned alot since the beginning. Thanks to you guys. My plants aren't the best but this community is! I had one hps and one mh that's why in the pic half are yellow. Got another mh and put it in and will run it for 2 more weeks then switch to hps. Any advice is appreciated and please don't tear me apart /s
For the first 2 months was using a ph/moisture meter and realized it was off 2 whole points (8.5 instead of 6.5) and the only way I realized was when my pops brought his over and checked and bam. Got a good one and then everything started working! Sorry for the long rant

They look good bro/sis... the only question I have is, are you running both hps an mh in the same space? (600 watters) and how big is your space.??
I'm not picking on you.. I'm just confused on what you are saying... I can clearly see both spectrums but seems to be to small of a space for 600watts for both...

Mars hydro ts module 600 is a 100w led suppose to replace a 600w hps(lol)
Idk where these light makers get off saying led is 1 to6-1to10 replacement for hps/cmf more like 2to5 1to3 at best. Plants looking good newbie

2 600 watt mh in a 4x8. I do have another 400 watt I could use. Think I should add it? 8 plants total

Welcome to roll it up..

I'm not quite understanding what your getting at. Are you saying the Mars hydro would be a replacement for what I have? Mine are are ipower 600 watt metal halides with cooled hoods. I am looking at getting progrow 1800s in a couple months tho.

No. I miss understood your post "600w mh" "I have one mh and one hps" I assumed you ment a Mars hydro ts600 which is a 100w led(not a replacement for a 600w hps) common marketing scheme for LED makers is to advertise "equivalent watts" which are way over stated(as my post stated)
Run what you got while it works for you

I would look into LED fixtures when its time to upgrade HPS is dirt cheap out the box but will cost you more if you plan on growing for a long time, more power usage, bulbs need to be replaced regularly, requiring a lot more ventilation to manage heat.( bet your running almost as much power into fans as i am in lights) Also safety concerns seen a lot of burt scalps and hands dealing with hps/cmf fixtures, they have been know to explode which is a fire risk, could damage your grow op and leave you rushing to get a replacement up in a hurry. I'll probably catch some slack from the old-school truthers for these comments dose not make them any less true
