So, relatively new poster on RIU here. 1st grow journal.
Q: What happens when you get a bunch of like likeminded old mates over for a BBQ n beers that have combined over 100 years of grow experience, except for grey hairs and occasional lack of memory? A: A lot of banter and at 4am the grounding for an experiment. Which would yield more? Manifold, SCROG, Trellis, SOG, or natural? F’me I thought at the time, that’s a challenge. After much debating....and more beers n rum the guidelines were set. Same strain and pheno = same donor. Add a degree of difficulty for the manifold due to clone...none of us set up for tissue culture! Controlled environment within .3-.4 VPD curve.
Well our hippie organic out door Sativa tree farmer mate was excluded first up...He was happy n just drank n smoked more. And looks like I’m first up for the manifold.... part one.
Strain- donor = Fruit Cake Punch (Birthday Cake x Black Cherry Pie), Indica dominant pheno chosen, which is tried n tested between us.
Off we go... we’re at Day 21 in veg (last minute decision to do a journal), 1st part manifold done just over a week ago..top at 4th for a 3-4 node start....today for 4 branches. Christmas etc.. caught me lagging and things were screaming along after the first nip, and bend. Also forgot to adjust the feed cycle after the first bending so got some tip claw.
