The first true leaf nube question

I have noticed that there are a lot of threads discribing yellowing of leaves and many times(like in my case) the issue is only in the oldest lower 2 leaves. Is this not a problem at all? It seems like almost everyone has those first two leaves yellow and even die. I can't remember but when I grew 10 years ago I never gave it any thought to the first two true leaves yellowing and I think I just snipped them off back in the day. But is this the norm for many plants to just lose those leaves?

i think those are the reserve and if ever the plant needs something it takes it from there for the new growth. i think the longer they last lets you know how well your feeding them. just my thoughts.
