This is my story.

The poor-man technique implored.

I went to the local Family dollar store and heres what i purchased.

The total for todays poor-man adventure comes to $18.50 Not counting tax.

I Also bought a baggie (10) bc my back is hurting and i felt like i deserved it. So this is my christmas present to myself.

The reason i bought the 3 pack or renuzit's is because i smoke black & milds. I noticed that the landlord put one of these in the back hallway

And my mom hates the smell of smoke... The back hallway never smelled like smoke as the REnuz was there and i had the door open. These things seem to be GREAT scent supressors.

If you smoke cigs / milds / weed you know just how HARD it is to get rid of the smoke smell.. Esp if you live with someone who u cant smoke around (parents, kids, pregnant gf, etc)

12/17/10

So after a few setbacks / mishaps i feel like i am ready to start posting my data.

Yesterday my mom tried to "Lootwhore" the Lighthouse (that's what im calling my growing area) The light house has been in our kitchen since oct 29 2010.

It sat there completely ignored and unthought of until 12/16/10. I figured this thing looks like it'd be great to house my babygirls and maybe a bush or two, providing i can keep the lenth down or expand the top half.

But when i moved it into my room yesterday my mom went emo. long story short, Orginally moved it in my room on 12/16, Got bitched at for HOURS, I moved it back outta my room when i felt like it, Then HOURS LATER after the bitching and me putting it back im told she doesnt care.

So today 12/17 moved it back into my room, wiped it down, and stuffed my CFL and Maria into the light house and closed the door.

Do you guys think this thing would be easy to smell proof? it seems that way. My concerns are will my baby lamp / light cause too much heat, will i need some sort of venting? etc..

Im not SUPER worried about the smell. i mean we use to live in the hood and our hood had skunks. Summer use to be awful as the neighborhood cats fought with the skunks thus they sprayed alot and it use to ALWAYS smell like skunk when we had windows open in the summer.

I would like tips and advise as this is my first attempt, im doing a poor man route by choice (as i have hopes that if i get a fem or two that i can make $ to assist in further growth and possibly other things i need cash for)

I dont have alot of money but i work with what i have and try to make it go for me very well..

I anticipate me needing another lamp, HPS light, etc. i am ALL about being as cheap as possible. This will show ppl that even a guy from the hood with little money and room to work with can pull it off.

(i would have orginally did all this in a closet or basement) but my room has no closet and our basement is nonsense and i dont wanna risk other tenants touching my stuff cuz then BlazedBushin will have to choke a bitch.

are those bagseeds? they look pale as in the wont germinate. maybe a few but they will be weak

So i just lurked around on the site and i have read that having multiple plants on one pot is a bad idea.

So with this knowledge i am about to seperate the maria plants that sprouted in the tiny clay thing.

Will take more pics when they're out of surgery. Dr. Bushin Has a good rep i hope :)

Dr. Bushin was sucessful. Only one maria died in surgery. (It was the one with the skinniest and longest stem.. I wasnt happy with it the first 3 times i repotted it because it was leaning. So i got a ZigZag Straw and a tie and tried to pin it and give it support. One of my talons apparently ended maria's life lol. Pictures inc of the entire surgery and
girls in their new cups in the lighthouse.

Shitty cell phone cam sir, i have to turn on like 2 lights just to get my cell camera to actually take pics that arent super dark. Those are all bag seeds and i havent had time to sort thru them. i was gonna do small cups of "light colored seeds" and "Dark colored seeds"

yea the dark or more mature and will mostlikely produce better plants. and yes one seed one pot. roots will compete and ine or both will eventually die/malnurished.

Surgery pics are below. the longest plant died due to it broke at the stem. im not sure if my talon (nail) went thru it or if it just broke on its own.. :(

Yeah i noticed that a while ago. i had to do the emergency surgery because i orginally germed 9 seeds in the clay (brown) tiny pot as i didnt think they'd grow and it was a gift.

I think i am going to try the Paper towel / Napkin Germing technique as it is much easier to just wait for the seeds to split open and then just drop them in a cup and add dirt.

Question for anyone who can answer this. Now that the plants both have their seperate homes. I added a tiny bit of water to the dirt as its not their watering day yet.

But should i let them stay in the dark or should i resume my normal lighting schedule of 8hrs tomorrow morning?

you need to bury those and leaves only like an inch above the dirt those are too long and skinny...You need to get a fan on those to strengthen up those stem so you will have stronger stems to support bigger buds..

A fan? Hmmm. i didnt want to aggro them with colder temps. i repotted them to where the dirt is proper and supporting them decently. I guess that's what i get for putting my them under the infamous "Grow n show" light.. That pos... Its cool tho. im gonna germ some more bag seeds with the napkin method and hopefully ill have more pics. i should have pics of them in their new home.

So should i resume my normal lighting schedule in the am? or do they need to be in the dark for a while after the repot? i coulda swore i read something about letting them be in the dark to avoid "Shock"

So this morning after a super high last night. I decided that i have a clear mind for the moment and want to be productive. So i decided to use the Napkin method poor-man style.

Seeing as there are no napkins, paper towels, I decided to use an unused Wash Cloth. I followed one of the guides for germing seeds.. So um.. Less talk more pics.

PIC-0134.jpgPIC-0138.jpgPIC-0137.jpgPIC-0135.jpgPIC-0140.jpgPIC-0136.jpgPIC-0141.jpgPIC-0139.jpgPIC-0133.jpg

I've also included pics of the light house and the 2 bag seeds that survived surgery yesterday. (R.i.P SKINNY!)

So we have 3 days to see what Germs from what i put in the cloth. I only put HALF of the bag seeds that i have in to germ because i felt if i got too many seeds to germ id end up running out of space. I would like to keep the plants confined to the light house and NOT have to expand it as i want to be as stealth as possible.

Comments and advise are welcome. I was thinking about trying to hang the lamp upside down or attach it to to upper or side part of the light house.. maybe with some sort of glue or something that can be undone if necessary.

And when i get the $ im going to get a second lamp & more CFL's till i can upgrade to HPS. I dont think the local stores here sell CFL. id have to travel across town just to find a damn wal mart / lowels / home depot.

I should also mention i stuck the germ jar in the DRAWER part of the light house. Seeing as there is a board / Row above the CFL down below, The Drawer is completely dark, Decent temp due to help from the light down below.

So this am i checked on the Germed seeds. Am i doing something wrong? i REMOVED the lid and idk why but one of the seeds this am had white fuzzy looking stuff around it like it was trying to mold or something. so i removed them from the jar. moved the fuzzy stuff off the seed. made sure the rag was still damp at least then put it in a dark area not in the draw that air and warmth can get to. Any advise is appericiated.

***Edit i figure out what was up on 12/20****

At least one seed decided to rot. but its all good seeing as i dont have room for all the seeds i decided to germ.. if they're all female i will jizz all over the place srsly.

Germ'd seeds have had a change of setting. i decided to place the jar elsewhere and check on it every so often. i decided to put it closer to the vent and they seem to be doing better. looks like some are going to pop open in about 2 days maybe earlier depending.

The bag seeds are doing well after surgery. Everything looks on the up an up. They're growing more leaves i can see a third set sprouting on the oldest one. and the other one is just trying for its second set looks like. Pics soon for those who are interested.

Hopefully i get a fem. i REALLY want a fem for my smell tests.

So i got home about noon after an all night out. I stepped in the room and turned the Lighthouse light on the girls. I do my usual thing, Then after im firnished i decide to go check on the GERM seeeds. I have 12 bag seeds busting out of their seed and root showing.

I am SOLD on this method being superior to "Soil Germing" this can be controlled way easier and now i wont have to repot so soon, because i can drop the germed seeds in a party cup and just throw them in the light house with the rest of the girls.

I am happy to see my seeds take off in just 48 hrs. Such a beautiful thing. This is really cool & fun :) Pics soon as i untether my phone and snap some..

So i was rollin around on the site reading journals. Decided since i am using CFL that i was gonna bust out the FOIL. Best idea from a reader :D

Ive already noticed the light house is BRIGHTER. its GLOWING.

I also put my mini fan in there for a bit to try to circulate the air.

Gonna try to get 2 more lamps & 3 more cfl bulbs when i get paid hopefully thursday. The only thing i seem to be lacking right now is Lights.

Im thinking about NUTES for down the road. How Good is "Blood meal"? I think thats what its called. Im hoping to find cheap and simple solutions to nutes as i want my bitches to be strong bitches, but no hard chemical tastes.

Anyone wanna help a brother out? :joint: TIME!

Just be careful with the foil it can reflect at angles and burn leaves, I had it happen with my Mylar paper it came lose and started to crink up and a bunch of my bottom leaves singed and burnt up. And during germination and vegging you should use an 18/6 cycle
