The Right Humidity

Hey guys I have a quick question about humidity in your grow room. So I just started a new grow, and I don't know if it's my new light set up, the fact like I live in super dry state, or just something else, but it seems like my humidity this go around is much lower than it's ever been. My temps hold steady around 75-85 and my humidity usually stays steady around 30-40 depending on what the temp is at.

So my question is, is that too low? Should I be doing something to bring that up? I've read thoroughly through the literature at
http://www.just4growers.com/stream/...-deficit-the-hidden-force-on-your-plants.aspx
I think I understand it pretty good but according to this chart I am far below the levels I should be, but I also read many forum posts from experienced growers that say low humidity is a good thing.
So is my humidity too low or is it ok?
Thanks in advance! Hope I provided all the necessary information.....

A lot of folks in here, me included would love to have your problem. Mind you, it's not ideal for seedlings, clones, or vegging, I prefer 55-65% for vegging and keep separate rooms for veg and flowering. For flowering, to avoid a bunch of issues like mold, PM etc. it's ideal to keep below 50-55% (lights-off when humidity will climb). So for flowering you're in a bit of a sweet spot really, a little higher would be nice but I'd rather be lower than above 50% in flower. If you veg in the same room you could benefit from higher RH when they're vegging, you can do a host of things to raise it, humidifier being an obvious option, but in smaller cabinets I simply put containers with water (like dollar store stuff) and blow a fan across them to raise RH if I need or want it higher. Some folks use wet towels.

Right on! Glad to hear that this is a good problem instead of a crummy one. I grow in a 4x4x6 tent so it would probably be pretty easy to higher it with the bucket of water like you said. I have a clone and some newly popped seedlings in there right now so I think I might try to get it just a bit higher till they mature a bit. Thanks for the advice bro!

Mine was low and I was loving it, added a bowl of water if it got too low for a quick fix. But after two weeks of rain it was staying high enough for me to search and purchase a large dehumidifer and man it does a great job of maintaining constant control. But, it's raising the temp, and I can't have that. Happy growing.!
