Theory on fem seeds and hermies-experienced growers opinions needed!

First up i want to say this is only personal observation and experience but i haven't in any way 'tested' this theory but here goes-do fem beans tend to hermie more if they aren't allowed to reach maturity before they're flowered? I ask because i've noticed in my own garden due to always giving my plants an extended veg time for training and recovery, i've found that by allowing them to reach sexual maturity before i flip they seem much more stable, no hermies and better yields than most experience when flipping with shorter veg times, mine is about 3 months first time from seed everytime. Anyone else have any opinions or experience regarding this at all?
