Thinking about upgrading cabinet to room

So I'm currently growing in a converted wardrobe, my flower "room" measures 800 x 500 x 1800 (mm) and veg is 600 x 500 x 1800.
I'm running a 400w HPS for flower and a 130w CFL for veg/clones.
I have an 100mm exhaust fan in the wardrobe and 3 100mm intake holes with a fan inside to move air around.

The wardrobe is sitting in a spare bedroom that measures 2.8 x 3.2 x 2.4
With an oscillating fan in the room to move air around.

I'm currently battling with heat problems in the cabinet, I'm thinking it's too small for the 400w.

would it be easier to control temps if I was to seal the room, hang the 400w in the centre of the room, and use the cabinet for clones/mothers?

Any input would be appropriated!

Well I just switched to a 5x5x6.5 (ft) grow room from a micro stealth grow I had in my closet when i lived in a apartment. Personally i had a tougher time keeping my box cool until I hooked up my window ac to it with ducting but that required it to be on all the time!
SO after switching to the bigger room, air cooled reflector hood light, intake, outtake fans I personally found it to be a bit easier
the 400 watt would be good for a small room and shouldnt heat it up to much but i suggest getting an fan to air cool it if you have that kind of light.

Should of said the room measurements are in metres.

I have fans and all that, no cool tube or closed hood to vent though.

What light do you run? How many plants?
Oh damn, ok so in feet thats about 9x10x7.5 hmm thats a pretty big room but i dont see you having too much trouble with some good fans.
Im running a 1000 watt HPS that I have 11 plants but its pretty crowded in late flower so imma do 9 next time!
I also i have a small 2.5x4x5 with a 600 watt light which im using for vegging clones and seedlings

Only thing I'm thinking is the 400 in that room would be too small :/
Would only have 3 or 4 max under it, right in middle of the room, 30L pots, coco

You're right! You can only have about 3-4 but that just means less plants so you can give them a little extra care. And who knows maybe after your first harvest you'll decide to upgrade to a 600+ your 400.

Cheers dude!
It almost seems as if she's still stretching :/

How long into flower do they stop growing tall and focus on buds?
Cause a few of her top colas are looking stretched out, and lowers ones look more fatter :/

seems like 400 watts is overkill for a wardrobe closet that small.a 250 watt may be easier to manage and should be plenty of light for a space that small
