This is a thread about Alita air stones

I know some people on here use these stones and I would like to hear your experience with them. One of the online stores that sells them says they are "clog proof". I have been running them for about two months with great results so far. If you have run them, how long do they last? How do you clean them and how often? At some point I know I will need a backup set, but they are not cheap.

What kind of pump are you using with yours?
btw, I'm pretty sure they are made with amamanite(or whatever the name of the mineral is that begins with "adam-").
they are also cintered, meaning compressed and put into an extremely hot kiln.
If they are indeed made of the "adam-" mineral, at least in the world of masonry, the material's pores will not clog.
if they are cintered adamanite, they will need cleaning long after anyone walking today on earth is long gone.
if any kinds of microscopic debris or dirt manage to get inside the pores of adamanite (impossible while your pump is pumping), it will slide out once air is introduced into the material.

I just bought 12 of these and I will check back in after I give them a go. I don't want to hijack but as these have multiple connection sizes can someone point me to some info on connecting larger hose as I have found my 12 port manifold will pass only .5 gpm with about 1 psi back pressure loss per port. With everyone getting bigger and bigger air pumps and larger stones with smaller bubbles adding to more back pressure are these 1/4 inch air line keeping up. I ask here because the big boy pumps and stones don't get talked about much. I'm sorry if this was to off topic.

Well if anyone is out there and cares these stones kick butt. Very heavy, well made with no back pressure I could survive blowing in and out of these but the air coming out is very fine bubbles. I will likely never buy this air stone or another air stone again seeing how these look to be damage proof. I couldn't be happier You can hook up half inch hose two them as I have and there is zero back pressure on my pump so I get everything out of my air pump.
