Im planning on using the Sentinel chhc-1 and hydrogen propane burner but have limited space on the size reservoir I can use to cool, and I am limited on electricity as the room it would be in doesnt really have an outlet to use a 1/4 hp chiller or something of the sort.
So I was thinking... based off my calculations to get 1500ppm itll be about 3.2 cubic feet of CO2 that is needed, which requires 200 gallon rez (ill have only 100 gallon one) or a smaller rez with the chiller.
What if I were to put in like 3 10 lb blocks of ice or even more? So Id have lets say 70 gallons of water and 30 gallons of ice.
My question for you experienced people are :
1. Would that type of setup be able to sustain a cool temp for the 12 hours it is running?
2. Would I have any trouble with the water pumping through the hosing due to the blocks of ice?(I figure big blocks of ice would take longest to melt and basically work for a longer period of time)
3. I was thinking even maybe frozen 5 gallon buckets of water would work due to the large size, how many would you think it would take to work efficiently?
