Three Plants - 3.5 gal tub, 2'x2'x4' tent. Too crowded?

Starting with autoflower seeds in DWC.

What's up newbs! So when ordering my first kit, this is what I went with, the 3.5 gal bucket with four 3" mesh tubs and 2'x2'x4' tent. They are growing so fat so quick I am worried they will overcrowd the tent & bucket and I am worried I may end up with some messed up plants.

I topped one plant, FIM'D another and letting one go all natural. They are all as healthy as f*ck!

So is this overcrowding or can I create a mini Sea of Green, or should I yank the middle girl to make room?

All advice is appreciated. Pics are today at 2 weeks old.

What strain(s) are you growing?

I am by no means an expert. I will be doing my first soil grow in a similar sized tent (2'x2.5'x6'). I will probably do 2 plants in ScrOG or I may only do 1 in a larger pot.

Are you doing the different methods to see the yield differences? I know you have to be SUPER careful doing any sort of topping to autos. I would ScrOG or LST, especially the one you're letting run free.

I have 3 Indica girls in a 2x2x4 3gal pots. Overcrowded... Yeah kinda but it's manageable. Scrog would be a great option but the 3 girls in your one bucket seems overcrowded. Goodluck on your grow. I'm subbed

Take some pics in natural light if you run into any problems. It'll help us help you out if you ever have any questions.

you should never top auto flowers. The goal is to never stop their growth to gain full yield and reach full potential. You don't want to stunt or delay their growth, like by topping them. Growing in a scrog helps increase yields as well.

My plants are Blueberry auto. I am doing something different with each,,, one is going natural, one has been topped, one I am trimming and pruning and the two with work are still same height as the natural girl, so no stunted growth at all, the topped girl is actually a tiny bit taller.

For future reference - my perpetual grow has 4 square feet of floor space for flowering as compared to one square foot per plant for vegging. I'm growing short bushy indicas with 5 week veg and 7 week flowering. At 5 weeks vegging plants are 20-24 inches tall.

Good luck, BigSteve.

You have the potential for some bushes. The pic I posted is an auto cheese topped @ day 26. She's 24" above soil and 32" wide. I have her and two 3-4" tall auto Amnesia in a 30"x50" space. It's tight.

That said, if they remain happy and healthy, things could get crazy during stretch and you might have to do more training than you intend. I'd run with it. I just super cropped one of the Amnesia just because "she was winning".

BTW, I can dig the experiments. Torture for science! At least, that's my excuse. :bigjoint:
