Tincture Hash Oil

My friend who has a med card recently got me some oil from a dispensary and i was instructed to put it under my tongue. Him and another acqaintance who has migraines who wants to try mj to see if it helps would like me to make some oil for them that they could use. I have a recipe in one of my mags that shows a recipe for "tincture" it says to put under the tongue but it takes 2 months. I saw some THC oil and honey oil recipes online that utilize alchohol that take only a few hours but nowhere in the description do they mention putting it under your tongue only info on how to smoke the oil.

Are the oils and tinctures the same thing? If not does anyone have a quick recipe for this substance?

i think that is a typo i have always heard for a any kind of oil or acl. exctrat its around 1-2 hours. theres no way anything that goes under your tongue would take 2 months.

No you are only suppose to put tincture under your tongue you cant smoke it. It is completely different that has oil, which is smoked in a pipe or whatever. Tincture is generally made by putting trimmings, shake, or whatever in a jar with around 75% alcohol such as everclear. You let it ferment in the jar say in your closet for about 2 months. And thats it. There is a boiling method as well. My brother said he got some tinture and it burnt a hole in his mouth it was so strong, so you probably want to dtick with the 75% stuff so it wont burn lol. Good luck

Sorry but you are absolutely incorrect.
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN i DON'T LOVE YOU JUST FOR BEING A PART OF THIS COMMUNITY

Hash oil and tincture are made by several different methods. But most are exactly the same, the basic tincture (Rick Simpson oil) and hash oil are identical in every way except the final cooking process. Hash oil is literally evaporated down to the sticky tar, whereas tincture is left with more fluid yet it is still viscous. Tincture made with everclear or any other alchohol is smokable as well as a sublingual medication.

There are tinctures made with coconut oils, honey, butter, so many to chose from. The original tincture is made the same as hash oil that is made from EverClear or any other 150+ PROOF alchohol.

There are hash oils made with butane and methane which I would not ingest, but I have heard that you can.

I have looked at close to a hundred videos showing the process to make both till I was blue in the face. And some actually made me so mad because of the plethora of idiots out there who now have access to a video camera and some equipment and think they are the best of the best. One guy showed making the tincture with EverClear (http://youtu.be/G0dq8FC_-I0?t=4m34s) and while he had it on the stove HE DECIDED TO LIGHT UP with an open flame....directly over the combustable Everclear.

Probly referring to glycerine
In the cannabis community..tincture specifically refers to a glycerine (sugar alcohol) extraction that readily absorbs sublingually...

And yes that's a reasonable timeframe

glycerine is gross. I put 70 grams of kief into organic bee honey and put on a crock pot on LOW.
It then went into 70 one ounce bottles and then given to cancer patients. They loved it and the non smokers put it in their morning tea and the pain was helped for most of the day time.

glycerine is kind of gross you need to put flavoring like mint.

I dont really put any interest in sublingual anything. You need to stick it in your ass for intestinal absorption.

Google up medicated honey, people will love it and it will be a fast acting edible.

@Organicpoop: How is it possible that Organic Bee Honey can absorb cannabinoids? What am I missing.. Was it Honey Oil? Or did you heat the kief simply to decarboxylate it before ingestion? Thanks

Honey oil is BHO, I'm not making that.

I just cook hash or kief about 70 grams in a sauce pan at 200f with coconut oil for half hour.
Then I put in a crock pot on low for 48 hours making sure to stir it.
It gets all frothy and does its magic im not sure how.

The few cancer patients I help say its the only thing they have ever used that removed their pain.
Go figure, Iv never used it.

The trick is to use low heat, I power the crock pot up then turn it off when it gets around 200f.
You don't want to scorch it.

Down side is MY COST is over $300 (Makes over one gallon) because organic small farm honey, $100 per gallon. 70 bottles with droppers $80+ and 70 grams of high quality hash that actually melts with no green matter is very expensive.

The trick is not to scorch it or it makes a funny taist like a dark caramelized chocolate but only two people ever complained and they both were ass holes any way.
