To Chop Or Not To Chop... decision time... *PICS PROVIDED*

    • Hi,

i'm approaching the end of my grow and would really like some advice on wether to chop down my plants or to let them go longer, please consider the plants are generally an 8 week strain but I put the stunt down to light disruptions and possibly too early a flush on 2 of the 3 plants im growing.

My greatest fear lies in the possibility of late hermie development, and also in the possibility yellowing of the sugar leaves spreading to the actual bud itself.

      All feedback is appreciated.

Blue Cheese & Cheese , flowered 10 weeks come monday.... swelling of calyxes and browing of pistols vary between the plants in autopots coco , and the soil plant thats top fed .

Here are some pics of my plants, I mean to be honest the one in the soil is swelling up quite well, but I must assume that the early flush with the autopot plants has stunted their flowering, they aint really swelling too tough, but pistols are browning. i could be wrong... Considering I started flushing from like week 6 anticipating a week 8 finish, they have now been flowering for 10 weeks and of majority the fan leaves are very dead and the sugar leaves CLOSE to the bud are very dead . I'm worried that this dying could spread to the actual bud, but the cheese plant just doesn't seem to be swelling appropriately and has many remaining white pistols...could this be its genes? hmmm would appreciate any guidance in terms of letting go any futher considering i've found 2-3 seeds on one of my plants, do you think they look done? Got some trichome pics with a digi cam and a loupe, not great , but you guys may be able to make something of it. MANY thanks in advance

      TTS

EDIT: BTW from what I can make of the trichomes there are very very few amber trichomes, and what seems to be a majority of milky and some clear.

my blue cheese is just on week 12 its starting to change to a violet colour
from what i know u dont want any clear trichomes about 60% brown rest milky

watch the humidy you dont want bud rot mate about week 9/10 i started to get it

i myself started to flush around week 10 then put it back on nutes . i have started to flush again as the colour is changing and have a lot of brown trichmes

hope that helps just dont cut to early you lose the taste of blueberry and the potancy

blue cheese is 8/10 week strain and remember when u start 12/12 light the first week maybe two its still in grow mode not flower

and take them dying leafs off on the buds there if they get damp u will have bud rot
The humiditys fine, been trying to remove most of any dying foilage that disconnects easily... I just dont think leaving these plants to grow another 2 weeks , given that one has a couple seeds, one is pushing out a couple nanners , they are no longer swelling, 80% of all leaves are dying/dead ... I've read alot about majority milky and some amber and almost no clear, and to be honest i'd say I have that , just need some more amber. What I would like to know though, is at face value and looking at the nugs in terms of ripeness, do you think the bud looks done? People have been advisin just to check the trichomes , but if the trichs aint gonna amber for another 2 weeks, I really dont see how the plants gonna make it there.

Yeah as you said, it's starting to throw nanners, means it's close to the end of its life. You seem to have flushed too early, but who cares, buds look great, I'd wait a few days, to see if anything changes and chop.
