This is my first posting on here and I've learned a ton of shit from all of you. (GREAT SOURCE OF INFO) Before I found this site I had already started experimenting and now have 3 lovely ladies (out of 9) that I am working with. I am currently 3wks into flowering, I am and have been using 6 24watt cfl blubs in my rubbermaid grow box. Well now one of the plants has shot off on a growing spree so much that i had to remove the 2 middle bulbs so that the top doesn't get burnt up. I'm not sure what the rate of growth is but my plant doesnt seem to be budding rapidly. I've been reading alot about these HPS lights that everyone says are the best so my question is, would it be ok if I switched to HPS bulbs now, and if so what do I get?

be careful of the fast ones, make extra sure its not male. males always grow much faster than females so that their pollen can fall down on the females.

flowering (and even vegging) can be done under hps, for only 3 plants I wouldnt recommend more than a 400w lamp. you could probably do alright with a 250 if you cant afford the 400.
