Hello, ive been growing for a while but this is the first time ive had access to direct sunlight for pretty much the whole day, and ive been growing a few plants in a 5 gallon bucket. Recently the leaves started to droop after being out in direct sun for a few hours. But if i brought them inside and put them next to the window they perk up. Can someone please help me with this?

Im using miracle grow soil and they have been flowering for about a week and a half.

Havent been fed in about 5 days. Used super thrive for veg. and am now using super bllom for flowering.

so they are indoor plants that you are supplementing with sunlight? it could just be the extra intensity of the sun.

thats what i was thinking, so should i just leave them inside next to the window? Thats just as easy for me, i just thought the direct sun would be better.

if you put them out for a couple hours the first day then a little longer each day they should get used to the sun. if they are doing well in the window that is cool also.
got ant pics?

Not since problem started. I will get some pics in the morning cuz it happens everyday. When i bring it out of the dark room theyre fine. Few hours in the sun they droop big time.

yeah, sounds like they need to be "conditoned". eased in gradually to the suns intense rays.

Yeh It dosnt help that you put them in the sun directly from the dark room. You have to think about nature. If you think about how the plants are in nature helps alot. In nature the plants slowly get adjusted to the bright sun by the sunrise. sooo, throwing them from darkness to pure sunlight, wouldnt be natural, so the plants have a hard time adjusting to it. Maybe you should take them out of dark room, put them on window sill let then maybe out into the sun. Also if you could get them out there for the sunrise that would be alot better. Its like, if you were in a dark room for 12 hours, then opened the door into the sun... your eyes need to adjust. Much like a plant, just trying to help ya out, not bashing or anything grow on buddy : )

I think it's clear that the sun is what's causing the droopiness, but why is what you need to know.

The key for me is why you've got more than one plant in a single 5 gallon pot?

A plants healthy growth depends on 4 primary factors - light, water, nutrients and co2, if any of those 4 building blocks is deficient or in excess, as appears to be the case here, healthy growth will slow down to the weakest link in the chain.

The plants you're putting out in the sun are receiving more light than they can process and their drooping or lowering of their leaves is the plants way of protecting itself from the light intensity.

I suggest that to even this out, you repot the plants into their own pots and feed/water them at the appropriate level for the level of light they're recieving.
