Just because the pain is gone doesn't mean the underlying issues aren't. Brush and rinse 3-4 times a day with a heavy salt/water solution, you can even mix in a little baking soda which will alter the PH of your mouth to something many bacteria don't like.. Salt is a natural disinfectant and will help fight any infection. Clove is also a natural pain reliever and disinfectant, but be careful, it can burn your gums.. I have really bad teeth and no dental INS, i know a lot of tricks. I'm waiting for one to give me enough trouble i get the nerve to pull it..
