Top Part Of Stem Broke

I am just past my 2nd week flowering and I was moving one of my Agent Orange plants today when I accidentally broke the main branch about 6" from the top (the top cola) completely off. First I took a toothpick and inserted it into the broken stem and put it back together with the plant and after that I taped it followed by wire for support. The thing that is keeping it still alive now is the jiffy bag that I sprayed the inside of with water and then placed it over the broken branch to keep giving it moisture. It seems to be ok now all things considered. It hasn't started to shrivel up and die yet anyway. My question is will the main stem and the broken branch eventually mend and grow back together?

Yeah I would have said screw it it's just been topped if it wasn't already past the 2nd week of flowering. We shall see.
