top saddest movies

Recently saw someone talking about a sad movie they saw called my sister's keeper.

On occasion I like to watch stuff that just makes me feel sad/depressed and I know I'm not alone. I think I do it to appreciate life more... How about some movies that make you feel like crying?

my sisters keeper
definitely maybe
seven pounds
the notebook
bruno-cried from laughter, does that count?
million dollar baby
the boy in the striped pyjamas
the curious case of benjamin button

kinda stoned, ill remembr more later

I haven't seen the notebook or humboldt county yet. I thought notebook was just some chick flick until I started looking up other threads on this topic and it is in everyone.

I'll put these on the list!

Children of men is one of the greatest films of all times...but indeed, extremely sad...
I thought that was an amazing movie but it didn't quite strike me as all that sad......it was too unreal to be sad ya know? the premise of the movie is something unreal in life as we know it........I think that is what makes a truly sad movie sad.....it could and probably has happened.....

How could you LIKE to watch something that makes you sad or depressed? :(
We'll take seven pounds for example (mostly because I saw it the other day)
The movie isn't a depressing sad.....its moving...It makes you think and it shows a glimpse into the (yes fictional but realistic) life of someone who has the biggest heart you could possibly imagine.....

Im not saying you're wrong man....really....Its just hard for me personally to watch a movie with an unrealistic plot and become sad about it ya know?
Like I said I loved the movie but it didn't really pull on my heart strings...

Sounds wrong doesn't it? I agree, but for some reason they make these kind of movies. It's a sense that I don't experience often ,so it's kind of like watching a movie that scares me. Just a different feeling I get from watching it.

Fried green tomato's
I am Sam
What's Eating Gilbert Grape

More to come

Children of men was an amazingly beautiful movie that was very moving but I wasn't too saddened by it since it had a nice end to it. Jasper dieing was difficult tho.

any good quality porn would bring a tear to my japs eye.
i'm assuming the guy who said click was crying because he had wasted 2 hours watchin a truely horrific film

gotta agree with the green mile. i read the book first as well as marley and me. they both gave me a knot in my throat and i had to struggle to keep the moisture outta my eyes lol. couldnt finish marley and me because it was really sad man and i dont like to get emotional around anyone.the dog from marley and me reminds me of my dog now. ole yeller and where the red fern grows got me as a kid. i know there is more but i cant recall all the ones from the past.
