Topping and cloning

Sorry if this is simple question to the more experienced. First time growing. I have 4 seedlings going. I want to top/fim to keep the height down. I would like to take a clone from each also so I can get a second batch started. Is it possible to top a plant and clone the piece you cut? Is there anything in particular I need to consider or watch out for?

You can easily clone the top you cut off, timing is the issue. Let them get past the 5th-7th nodes before topping. A better way to get clones is to take the lower branches and use them as cuttings. Lower branches end up in the garbage anyways so why not use them. Good Luck

If you want to keep the height low look into super cropping, pinching and snapping your stems so they bend over. Make sure you dont snap them off you just want them to bend so they hang down. This will make the plant grow low to the ground and also make it grow more tops.
