Totalt noob in need of some help

Anyways, Im doing my first grow and I have never known anyone who has grown or anything so I got alot of stupid questions, please bare with me.

Now, I did the thing where you put the seeds between damp paper towels in a plastic bag until theres some root (?) showing and I put the seeds in soil, root down.

Does the plant need light now? Should it be under the HPS?

How long should it take for the plant to show? (Put them something like 1/2 inch under the surface of the soil)

No. Natural sunlight/shade should be plenty till it sprouts...You should also give it a little humidity/warmth.

Thats maybe a little too deep, I usually stick'em in around an inch even less, but I doubt it matters. Should take about a week maybe 5 days to pop up, but again it differs.

you could do with a mh bulb when you veg too, hps for flower

Sunlight, yeah, we'll get some in march or something Would a regular flourecent do? I got some warm and cool whites.

Ok, I hope it works out with the depth, acctually its not really half an inch, but we got the metric system here and I couldnt find a calculator. Hope it works out. Thanks alot man

Really? Yeah, thing is cash and cops looking for growers everywhere here, they are checking out people buying any type of growing equipment, but if I find a used one, I'll go for it. My dream set-up is having the room I got now split in two with one area on veg all the time and one on flowering, but now all I got going is these auto flowering over-priced seeds an ad got me buying , so Ill try and get me some medical herb so I can think at all first and then try and plan the future. Thanks a bunch for your input!

Cool white will do fine, even a warm isn't bad.. But only once it sprouts..
Then keep the light almost touching it. Like an inch away or they will stretch out and get spindly.
