transplanting

i have a question on transplanting i have my plants in a 1 gallon pots there not root bound yet but i wanna put them in a 3 gallon pots in there final home to get them ready 4 flower in a week so is it ok to transplant a nonrootbound plant to bigger pots 4 flower

Also when you transplant I always tear the bottom in half hard to.explain but I spread the main root systems in 4 quadrants to help start mew root growth

depending on how good your roots are yeah id say transplant. theyre gonna stretch in flower so id use a 3 gal or 5 gal. and like dannoo said its good to break off root endings, it happens naturally with earth worms and causes the plant to put out more roots, at this point a little bit of mycorrhyzal and/or some compost teas will help too.
