Trichomes worries

Hey all. 1st time ever posting anywhere online about MJ. I have been growing a seed we found in my friends purple kush (so he claimed). I'm nearing the end of week 5 flowering. I've had no knowledge until I started reading up on growing as I go. I keep reading up now about when to harvest and it says when my trichs are 50/50 to get the high Im wanting. I've added a random trich pic and a pic of my buddy boi as I call her. My trichomes have started turning Amber in week 5 and I'm worried something is developing too quickly compared to the buds as they're still only relatively small.

This plant is 100% organic. Has been grown with natural UK sunshine and rainwater and I'm using natural top soil as my medium. Nno chemical or nutrients have or will touch this baby.

Really hope you guys can put my worries to bed. I'm looking at 8 weeks flower in total which should put earliest poss harvest at Sept 30th.

All advice and criticism welcome
Thank you

When looking at trichomes you look at the trichomes on the calyx, not the leaves.

Also, your plant has weeks to go yet. I wouldn't worry too much. She looks healthy enough to make it.

I use ground up clam shell to feed during bloom. Never grown outside. Tricones are very heavy on buds that are stressed out. Indoor growing I use UV and i r lights for that purpose.

She looks good, a bit early though, patience will pay-off. I'd bet that those amber ones you are seeing are reflections from nearby pistils that are turning orange. I have snipped small samples that appeared to be covered in amber at 30X to find that they were all clear still. It might just be light reflection. I wouldn't rely too much on the coloration. If you absolutely must, wait until the pistils have all turned orangish brown and then check your trichs. You'll get there.

Tha k you everyone. This has helped alot. This plant will be my final smoke of MJ so wanting it to be as pure and natural as possible.
I'll keep an eye on it now. Currently using a portable. Microscope for trichomes with 50x-500x mag

Don't sweat the tricomes, once she really matures she'll swell up, pistils recede almost looks like a different plant, you'll know.

Also if you were eyeing sep 30 as the date go ahead and just wait until the October full moon on Oct 9th.

Thank you. I was hoping after harvest I'd be able to have it ready to smoke by Xmas day. Looks like it'll be my birthday in January instead lol

Only need about 14 days of hanging before they go into jars at which point 2 weeks from the harvest date will leave you with around October 30 for you to start trying your product dry enough to smoke but still curing
