Trichromes

Hey guys,

First time grower here,
Just wanted some advice on when would be best to harvest
I have a few photos of trichromes but i'm having a hard time telling if they are milky or clear.
From what im seeing is there are no amber trichromes

I searched the internet a bit, however opinions seem to vary,
Should there be amber trichromes? what if there are 0? not ready yet? Do I have to wait for amber trichromes in order to harvest or would it be ok doing so now?

thanks guys

I'll give it another week or two just being you still have lots of white pistils.

As to trichomes, i'm thinking your strain doesnt amber much or wont amber at all due to strain but.....

you have lots of yellowing trichomes so it could be genetics. I downloaded your pic and circled the area where I'm seeing lots of yellow trichomes.

hope this helps.

Hi guys, i appreciate the input!
I guess i’ll wait a bit longer, i stopped giving nuted a few days ago, was this a good idea?

Perhaps a should give her some nutes once more before flushing?
Regarding the yellowing trichomes, what does this signify ? Are they on there way to turning Amber or is it something i should worry about?
Thanks!

Based on my experience, amber starts as amber or dark red. Yellow trichomes is just another trichome color and I've never seen one turned amber but only cloudy yellow. Nothing to worry about it's just how your plant cannaboid express itself. My point is, you may not see amber or any amber at all based on your plant genetics but watch for those yellow trichomes to be more pronounced, otherwise you would be waiting for amber forever.

Your lady looks nice man, just be patient, you have some cloudy trichs and i also see some that are going amber. I ususally wait until all trichs are cloudy and maybe 20% amber then i chop em. But some strains are different. I still think you have a week or so, just keep posting pics everyday or so, you will get the help. I harvested shortly after these pics were taken.

By the looks of the pistols i would say shes damn well ready man, your triches look cloudy for sure, pictures arent really clear enough to get a good look but the overall of the plant looks like shes ready to chop, hang, dry and cure buddy. Nice job, enjoy the fruits but make sure you take the time to properly dry and cure.....both combined about 3-4 weeks. This is the tuff part, lol. And at second glance i see amber triches in that second pic. CHOP IT!

Hey Clumpyoyster,

Thank you very much for the feedback, makes me very happy haha

Just a quick question before I chop, last time a gave nutrients was 7+ days ago or so and I gave them water once a fwe days ago
Should I do more flushing or is this fine?

Thanks!

your fine dude, all the flushing at the end is more personal preference and voodoo magic. I feed ph balanced water the last week or two and let the soil dry up and give it 24-48 hours of dark then chop.
