Trichs change color after curing?

I just got back from one of the better dispensaries in San Fransisco and picked up some samples of a few of the strains I'm growing. Was looking at the bud under 100x magnification and I swear I see no amber trichs. I'm loving how the bud smokes - traiwreck and sour diesel are incredibly uppity and this is what I want from my plants.

So what i want to know is if you can still see trich colors after harvest and cure (if they were amber at harvest i'de be seeing amber in the cured bud, right?)

From another thread here

Clear trics are uppity
Cloudy trics are heady
Amber trics kill pain
Maroon trics put you on the floor.

I'm sure it has much to do with sativa vs indica as well, but it would seem the underlying effects of the plant can be altered to some degree by harvesting at certain times. This would explain why so many people have different views on when to harvest

He had put it much more elegantly but that is the gist of it - Masterofgenetics was the poster.

Hope this helps some
