Trimming during flower - face/off

So I've been reading about trim (lol) lately trying to decide if it would be a good idea to get rid of some damaged leafs during flower (I'm finishing up week 4) and realized that this is a very undecided subject. So at the end I just gave up and selected two of my Pineapple Express' and trimmed one down and left the other alone. The two plants are almost identical in size. Been 3 days so far but it seems like the trimmed one is growing better. Anyhow - you can be the judge:

Fine line between taking out a few damaged, old or crowded fan leaves and striping a plant bare. Later into the flower process and it is less noticeable but removing leaves is removing the plants power to grow and photosynthesize, basically removing the solar panels to a off grid house. In later flower, removing selective leaves to expose lower or otherwise shaded bud sites can be a good thing...just don't go overboard.

real touchy subject for some, lol. i trim up until mid flower or so. i try to tuck them out of the way if i can. if i can't, i cut it. once leaves get crispy, they won't be back, so those should go. if you make sure you don't cut too many, at any one time, you should be fine. stretch it out over a few days. and remember, "if you can't tuck it, pluck it, lol."
