Trimming roots

Hi all,

I have a plant that is 4 weeks old growing under 135W of LED in a 5 gallon pot. The plant is healthy and strong.

Looking at the pot I have discovered that the roots are starting to grow through the holes at the bottom of the pot. Is this a good or bad thing, and should I trim them?

Advice appreciated.

Thanks.

the air will take care of that, once those suckers meet the air they will die back.

the only time to trim roots is if the plant is root bound and being kept in veg, and you have a large enough container to prevent that from happening for a long time.

Yea I wouldn't worry much seeing as that the plant is in a one gal bucket, when it starts to enter week 8 I would go for a bigger pot, like a 3 gal, that's the size my plants are in and they are maxed in height at 3 and a half feet tall, if u go for 5 gal bucket expect the plants to reach over 4 feet
