So me and my friend are about to start a grow and im trying gather all my resources before hand. We will be growing BC Skunk #1/ NL i have been doing research for about a week now there is a list of the notes i found most important for a sucessful grow please correct any if wrong and feel free to give me more info please!

Code:
1Tbsp of lime per gallon of soil to help maintain a correct Ph
you shouldn’t need any fertilizers till week 3-4 of grow

NEVER LET Ph fall out of 6.3-7.0
Optimum Ph 6.5-6.8
In general youll need to water about every 3-4 days, but this also depends on the medium, & growing environment, & other factors.

Always water till you get a 30% runoff, this will help prevent salt build-ups in the soil, & will insure all the soil gets wet. You also need to collect this 30% runoff water to test its Ph, which will tell you your soils Ph.

For the cultivation on soil there is a common rule among cultivators to use 50% of the recommended dosages.

Use moderate level of 0,6-0,8 EC
generally one should never fertilizer more than 0,8 EC on soil

wait 7-10 days after fertilizing and observe the plants

How we fertilize during flowering

To provide the plants with many useful nutrients we first lower the EC level of the water to about 0,45 EC. With this level we either mix a nutrient solution of 0,55 EC and water with this solution every 5 days, or we mix a solution of 0,75 EC and water that every 8-10 days.

If we use this feeding plan during a typical 70 day flowering cycle a plant receives approx. 5 fertilizations with the maximum dosage of 0,75 EC. Why only 5 times? Because in the last 2 weeks of flowering you should stop fertilizing.

Never fertilize seedling or plants that are only 10-14 days old if you grow on soil!
Never fertilize on dry soil!
Soil Mixture:
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
20% Pearlite
Lime if needed

Ferts:
AN Sensi Grow Part A/B
AN Sensi Bloom Part A/B
AN Bud Blood
AN Overdrive
AN Big Bud Powder
SuperThrive

Also I am going to buy a Ph meter,EC meter, and Thermometer.

We have a 600w hps should we use it only for flowering? if so what lights should be used in veg?

What are good dimensions for a grow box w/ a 600w hps and 6 plants?

What is the proper EC level for a Soil grow?

What size pots should be used at start? when should you change the pot to a bigger size?how often do you change it?

how much water do you normally use i know till about 30% run off but how do you know how much when adding nutes?

use it however you want depending on the amount of area to cover. I find it more efficient to use cfls or t5 for veg cause they stay cooler and have a good spectrum for vegging. Metal halides are good too but will emit heat like your HPS. You can get systems that will operate both lights so you can switch from MH to HPS by changing the bulb.

A 600 watter is good for about a 4x4' area.

Don't know never used one for soil. There is also fertilizer in your soil so you might not need any ferts for veg

16 oz solo cups, peat moss cups or similar size pots with a good light mix and transplanted into bigger pots of the OF after 1-3 weeks. Rule of thumb is a gallon of medium per month of plant's life or a per foot of height.

with smaller pots you will water more frequently but your environment will dictate when to water. How much water you plat is using also is a variable. Try not keep the soil constantly saturated you should be fine. Once established in container probably every 3-4 days.

you need a ppm meter not an ec.i would look for a 600w mh conversion bulb that can work with your ballast. unless you have a switchable ballast.for soil have you ever seen a hempy bucket? its easier and cheap.
i got a ph meter and a ppm meter on ebay for about $15 each shipped and they work 100%
