Came across this technique while exploring the internet. Figured why not?

Basically UB instant brown rice bags are sterilized so you just gotta stay sterilize/sanitized while injecting. Plenty of videos about it on YouTube.

I injected these two bag 10/23 and both have just started forming mycelium that I can see in bottom of bags through dome.

You can see mycelium starting in bottom right corner. This was today.

Well definitely have mycelium developing in both the stargazer and the golden teacher bags. Its on like donkey kong.

Whatever you do make sure you let the whole thing colonize before opening

at least that is how I found the best success.

Still waiting on full colonization but each day there is more mycelium so thats good.

Must be tub grows after? Do you plan on updating? Interesting tek. Have you broken or shook the rice at all?

I was just wondering the same. Would you benefit from breaking the rice inside the bags apart now to help it colonize inside? Or does it not matter?

I broke rice up before inoculation and will do it again this weekend to help spread mycelium around.

Once rice is fully colonized ill transfer to coco coir in tubs.

I'll keep updates going whether I'm successful or not.

Yeah it helps to break it up to help spread the love. Im just trying not to handle bags very much so just winging it at this point.

Those ones called out to me. List of spores was huge. I got the golden teachers as a safe bet then the SG name just caught my eye so I snagged some. Then after looking up the strain it really excites me to try some.

72-80f My heating pad took a shit on me or else it'd be a more consistent 80f. Just running the heat a little more to compensate.

I wish you the best of luck! I live in Cali, so I have to have spores shipped to a friend out of state and then pick them up or have them sent to me that way! What a pain in the ass!!

Im not sure, this is first time growing shrooms. And I haven't really done/ate any in a decade or so.

Im hoping they're easy going but guess I'll find out. Its a fun adventure so far, like a science experiment you end up get to trip from.

Where did you get them from if you dont mind me asking? Pretty sure I will be pulling the trigger on buying some spores real soon.
