using agrosun mh lamp only?

I have a agrosun 1000w MH lamp that i plan on using thru both stages. They are suppose to be a combination of halide and sodium together but i didnt know if it would be better to just use a 1000 hps when i switch to 12hr days. Maybe use the agrosun bulb for the 16hr days then switch to a hps bulb when i switch to 12 hr days for flowering?

Yo, definitely switch it over to HPS for flowering. You'll notice a big difference! HPS bulbs put out many more lumens of the light you need during that period than MH bulbs do! I would only recommend (from what I've heard constantly on this forum) that you use MH light during veg. and as supplement lighting for two HPS lamps. I can answer that one for about 100 people here...

you can use both if you like. if you have more then like 6 plants or so. heat will be an issue. get some big anda smaller one=)

This might be overkill but here is how i have things now. The room is rectangle 10'w x 16' long. Going length wise i have a 1000w agrosun bulb in the center with 175w hps fixtures centered between the walls and the center 1000w light. Now width wise i have 8' flouresent lights with 2-6500k bulbs per fixture centered between the side walls and the center 1000w light. I was thinking about running all the lights during the 16 & 12 hour periods. Insane or not? Why u ask that combo, well thats what i already had and i didnt want to spend any more cash than needed. Should i add a couple cfl's also?(LOL) I will get some pics soon and yes i am a first timer.

anyway. save your money on the bulbs. MH is perfectly fine for flower. infact, there is more uvb light thus giving you more realized trichs. on the downside, hps will give a slightly higher yeild. if 10" is all you have to work with, um ouch. i dont even know a hood that is that small

fixed it, 10" would be small.

if you only have one lamp, then i would suggest section off apart of that room to a 5x10 flower room. if you can get a light rail light mover, that would make it even more effecient.

set up a veg area for your mothers and clones. happy growing
