Using extracts to boost smell taste and potency?

Does anyone know anything about this or can anyone confirm if using some kid of extract and giving it to your plants works to improve a crop.

I read somewhere that using grape or cranberrie extracts during flowering can increase smell taste and potency.

So my question is i picked up some strawberry extract so would strawberry extract work the same way.

Certain additives yes, I was considering trying this as well, i read somewhere to put more concentrated flavor extracts a day before harvest.

Look up botanicare sweet products, they have extracts and esters that enhance the natural flavors in some strains. I use the sweet raw product, as it is neutral and doesnt change the natural flavor, while providing the carbs needed.

Have you checked out the back of that bottle?
It's basically Epsom salt and sugars.

I don't actually have a problem with raw. Although, you can make it cheaper by using molasses or sugar and Epsom salt. I really don't care for all the "esters"
If you've got it use it, hell I have a bottle and I will end up using it eventually

The two on the right cost me under $5 and I can make gallons. The sweet raw cost around $23 a qt that's $100 a gallon...

I used to use the Sweet and GH has one too but for that amount of cash you can get a good bit of molasses and epsom salts. Both are cheap and available at your local drug store or grocer. Good Luck Dude

In my experience, adulterating your cannabis before harvest with flavor and smell enhancers winds up making it worse more often than not. The only thing I would do with mediocre buds is grin and smoke it, make oil, or if I'm feeling crafty, make some Thai sticks.

I don't think im just trying to get input as I am growing cheese and would like to make sure I bring the nice strong smell out of it. ive herd that iso terpines and flavonoids and tannins are found in flowering weed and can be increased. But like I said I don't have a clue I am in no way stating that I have plants or bud that smell like crap or anything they don't have much smell right now but when they doo I want them to smell really nice .

I don't care if my room smells like bud so im just trying to get the best quality I can out of what I have before they are finished.

I don't expect something to magically make a plant different then it was or super strong compared to the rest of the world.

I don't really want to alter the flavor I just wanna bring more of it out more of its natural flavor

o_OHmmmm... If you're not looking to "alter" the flavor then why buy the strawberry extract:wall:

I'm not trying to be an ass dick here but, if you have good genetics and you raise em up good and proper then the smell and taste will be there.

Check it, I have The Doctor from Greenhouse and its a massive producer... Of shitty hay tasting buds :spew: no matter what I do! It just sux! You can't fix that. So after this run I'm letting it go.

I also have Caramel Kush from 00 seeds and it lives up to its name! Delicious caramel/toffee flavors:weed:

Focus more on growing a healthy plant and don't worry so much about trying to be flashy.

I hope this helps brother and good luck to you in your quest to find awesome tasting/smelling buds.

i here ya but you ever buy a bag of weed and go this weed smells so great. then buy a bag of something called the same thing a year later and go this bud tastes shitty and smells like a vegetable.

I wanted to increase things in my cannabis dident want to flavor it say strawberry .

anyone one who has tried cheese knows the real cheese and how strong it is I wanna make sure I can bring out what is good about cheese I don't wanna find out that my bud smells like homegrown and tastes like leaf come harvest time

In my limited experience, which has been mostly hydro, your nutes will impact the final taste/smell character. My first few grows were with GH Flora series in DWC. I grew Romulan, Chocolate HB and Pineapple in different runs with this kit and all three strains, all plants had the same flavor note mixed in with their natural stink. The smell/taste was kind of like a cheap perfume and more welcomed in the pine than the other two. I have switched to FFOF and Techniflora BC line for the current grow to broaden my knowledge base and see if the mystery taste translates to this tek.
